Vampire Knight's Humanity

cheerful trio

Kaname, Yuki and Zero went into town near by to check out everything then explore various stores. They were exhausted walking around that they settled at a Starbucks to drink ice tea but Yuki seemed to be the only one that was still energetic and cheerful. Zero wasn't really cheerful but he enjoyed the cool air and being away from those vampire brothers calmed his Hunter sensed to almost normal. Kaname just came to know the town and figured seeing what most human do in this big city wasn't a bad idea.

Zero laid down his head on a table with Kaname and Yuki in tow just sitting there taking a breather. Kaname probably had the most energy but the sun does a lot to a pure blood like him making him feel drained , Yuki even though she was a vampire her human ways made her being in the sun a piece of cake and Zero didn't care one bit but like knowing his surroundings like a true Hunter does.

Zero looked at Yuki's cheerful face then spoke:

" How are you so cheerful all the time?"

" I'm not cheerful all the time but one of us has to be or perhaps i just want to put some sunshine in your life . Why are you always so grumpy and a loner?"

" Yuki , you should already know the answer to that question and this how i normally am I can't help it. I'm a Hunter and I'm a vampire without Kaname along with your help I would have been a true mindless monster"

" Zero I know I just wish you would lighten up some more"

" She's right you know as much as I know you didn't like me at first I believe there's nothing wrong with having more in common with people and connecting on some level"

" I guess your right but not many people would understand and you two are more friendly then I will ever be"

" I understand that but think of it this way connecting with someone makes you connected not with just your humanity and gives you choices which eventually you find someone who understands then accepts. That path in life isn't easy but it's the Rocky journey that makes it worth"

" Kaname , what the hell?... are a fucking fortune cookie?"

" ugh...Zero all I'm saying is you have to give people a chance to try to get to know you don't get me wrong we love being your friends but it would be nice if you branched out more"

" Fine... I will try... but nothing is easy"

" Life isn't easy but we still live it"

They were silent and then they walked back to the Sakamaki mansion thinking about their conversation. Zero kept thinking over Kaname's words and realized maybe he should try.
