Chapter 1:

*******OLIVIA POV******

I took one final look at myself before I hurried out the door. The doorman opened the door for me as I left my New York apartment. I had to hurry if I was going to make it to starbucks and work before my boss. I jogged to the edge of the sidewalk and raised my arm signaling a taxi. I was lucky and the first one I saw pulled off the road. I hopped in and told him the address to the Starbucks closest to my work. After leaving starbucks with coffee for the entire executive staff i got back into the taxi and left. I interned for the biggest Public Relations office in the country, we dealt with celebrities, politicians, millionares, you name it. This was my dream job and I have worked non stop for the past year and half to be noticed but so far all I did was get coffee and run errands for everyone in the office. I wanted a permanent job and I needed one as well. I couldnt keep asking my parents for rent money every month. I was resolved to do something for the company that would force them to hire me. I sighed outwardly expressing my frustration with the uncertainty in my life. Just then the driver pulled up to the office. I handed him money with one hand while trying to balance the coffee with the other. I took the elevator up to the 23 floor and practitcally ran into the conferance room to set up for the meeting the executives would be having with an important client this morning. I set the coffee on the long table in front of me and layed out the itinerary for the day in front of each chair. I made sure the projector was working and everything was in order before hearing sounds approaching. I stood in the back corner of the room while people entered. It was my job to stay in the room so I would be available to the executives and clients if ever they needed anything. They all took a seat and the CEO, Rob Cratcher, was the first to speak:

" Ok Cliff, so whats the deal with this kid?"

A tall grey-haired man with a deep voice replied, "well he's not a bad kid but he has been acting out recently."

Suddenly a young man who looked less experienced then the rest of the group stood up and walked over to me.

"Would you plug this into the projector please?" He handed me a small flash drive and I plugged it in to the company computer and turned the projector on. Images popped up of a curly haired boy with his arms around various cheap looking blondes in several nightclubs. The man whom Mr. Cratcher called "Cliff" continued:

"We havent been able to control the media and this bad boy reputation harry is receiving is beginning to damage One Direction's image."

Oh so that's who he is. I have heard them on the radio a lot recently. They were starting to get wildly popular in America.

"So what do you want us to do?" Mr Cratcher said.

"I was hoping you would know," Cliff responded.

Mr Cratcher looked around at his team expectantly awaiting their ideas. The room was quiet until a handsome associate spoke up:

" I think the best option would be a distraction. He needs someone who will show some consistensy in his life, like a girlfriend."

Mr Cratcher grinned and said, "Yes, Exactly! We need someone regular without any fame to their name." He then looked up in my direction. "Miss Chapman come here for a moment."

I walked over to him with a notepad in my hands waiting for instruction.

He began, "I need you to make a lis-"

But was interrupted by Cliff who said, "what about her?"

"What about who?" Mr Cratcher asked puzzled.

"What about her?" He said pointing right at me. I was so confused at the fact that he was acknowledging my presence I didn't have time to process what he meant until he continued: "She is a nobody right? she is obviously very pretty and is already updated on what we are doing. She can pretend to date Harry for six months and then we will stage a break up. That way this whole thing stays between us and your company." He smiled at the end, obviously proud of his idea.
