Introduction-1

Buffy sighed getting out of bed to get ready to go to her new school. The reason she was going to a new school was apparently it's wrong to save your school from vampires by burning down the gym. As if that wasn't bad enough her parents divorced meaning her sister, mom, and her leaving L.A. to come to the small town of Sunnydale,California. She's supposed to meet her new watcher today which would be okay if she wasn't afraid he'd end up like her last one dead because of the vampires.
Going downstairs to get breakfast giving her mom a kiss after walking out the door to go to school.
.Buffy.
"Yay another place for people to think I'm a freak" I sarcastically think walking into the school pulling at my baby blue skirt and adjusting my white skin tight v-neck. 'Now I just gotta go to the office get my schedule them run to the library to scope out my new watcher' my brain says as I walk into the office and up to the receptionist "Hello my name is Buffy Summers I need my schedule please I spoke with Mr.Flutey yesterday" the lady behind the desk annoyingly popped her gum handing me the schedule "Your books are in the library it's right down the hall to your left enjoy your day" I sighed and followed the ladies directions. The library looked empty as I slowly walked in "Hello anybody here?" She asked walking in further and jumped when a man with brown hair and glasses walked around the corner carrying books looking like he might be in his mid-thirties "Oh you must Buffy I've been wondering when your find me I have just what your looking for" he said going behind the counter grabbing school books first and then grabbed a few slayer books.

I looked at the young girl with pity as she looked at the books that held the stories of the slayers before her and what she must train to defeat until she dies and the next slayer is called. It must be hard after losing her last watcher and being outcasted and kicked out of school. "I'm sorry about your last watcher miss Buffy. I assure you that I'll do my best to please you and keep you and my self alive for as long as possible."
"Don't make promises you can't keep Mr Giles all I ask is that you let me have as normal of a life as possible" she said softly."I'm sorry Buffy but you must slay the vampires" Giles said remembering that her last watchers diary said she was stubborn about her calling. "That's not what I meant Giles I meant I'm not going to await my death anymore I'm going to make friends and do normal teen things but also do my duty as the slayer and stab the vampires in the heart with my pointy stick" I was a little taken back by her demand and by her words.
*narrator*
As the watcher and slayer argued neither noticed as three friends stood there bewildered at the words coming out of the librarians and the new girls mouth "Vampires? Slayer?" The dorky brunett named Xander couldn't help himself as he dropped his books and questioned the now alert looking people. Buffy sighed when she looked over and seen her watcher would be no help as he was rubbing his glasses so hard she thought they'd snap "well um you see vampires are real I'm a slayer the chosen one the girl who defeats evil blah blah but you can call me Buffy and we can keep this a secret right ?" The three shocked teens just nodded the small ginger looked like she was going to faint "I think I need to sit down" the other two nodded pulled there friend to a chair and Buffy and Giles went to fix them all a glass of tea before class started "here drink this relax then go to class well discuss this at lunch" Giles said finally taking charge. Buffy looked weary "I guess it's to much to ask if you want to be friends huh with the baggage I'm carrying" this caused Willow and Xander to snap out of it "of course well be your friend it's totally awesome we can fight the monsters like in Scooby doo "Xander said as Willow and Jesse nodded quickly agreeing "Oh! I'm Willow and this Jesse and Xander" the red headed girl said pointing out the two guys as she introduced them, "I'm Buffy and I'm sure you know Giles" The slayer said gesturing between the watcher and herself. "Can you show me to my classes please" Buffy asked Willow handing the girl her schedule.
Buffy tried her best to ignore the stares she got as Willow and Xander walked her to their first lesson. "Why is everyone staring at us?" She asked shifting slightly behind Xander "well it's not everyday we get a new girl and it's really not everyday that you see a pretty tan all around Cali girl hang out with us unless she's making us miserable so if by the end of the day you don't want to be our friends anymore we'll still keep your secret" Xander said before he thought and added "but if you do quit being our friend don't you dare make Willow do your homework like she's your personal slave Cordelia and Harmony do that enough" Buffy looked at the shy girl and the somewhat dorky guy before smiling "That's not gonna happen and Willow your not gonna do their homework anymore" she said as she sat in between them in history. She watched as Willow smiled as they pulled out their books and thought 'How can someone be mean to such an innocent girl and the boy sure he's goofy but that's no reason to bully them' opening her notebook and taking notes she made a promise as long as she could help it those two and maybe the other boy once she got to know him would enjoy the rest of high school without fear of being picked on or forced to do someone else work.
