chapter 5: Helixs' birthday (Aubreys' P.O.V.)

We went to Helixs' house after shopping at the mall for his present and some new clothes. We bought Helix a belt buckle that said "zombies!". We pulled up to Helixs' driveway, and Aria knocked on the door, ready to hand him his present from us. But Helix wasnt the one to answer the door. Instead, a tall, muscular guy with chin length dirty blonde hair. He wore a Pierce the Veil cutoff tee, blue skinnys that were majorly sagging, and a pair of all black Vans. He had green eyes, and tan skin. His hair is wet and in ringlets around his face. I blushed as i noticed him looking me up and down.

"Wheres Helix?" Aria asked, coughing awkwardly.

I asked, "And who are you...a friend of Helixs'?"

He smiles, and says with a british accent, "Helix is back in his fathers' gardens. My name is Jeremiah, and whats your names?"

Aria looked insanely bored.

I grinned and said, "I'm Aubrey!!! hiiii! oh, and this is my best friend Aria. So how do you know Helix?"

we left Aria outside, and walked into the living room of Helixs' house.

"He's one of my best friends...but hes also my cousin. I just came in to town for his birthday...but i think since theres a pretty girl such as yourself here, i might transfer to this school."He said, winking at me. I blushed and grinned like an idiot.

He laughed, and Helixs' mum came screaming into the house, and told us to keep it down, and go upstairs if we were gonna laugh and talk so loud. I gave her a weird look, but Jeremiah took my wrist and led me upstairs. It was dark, and Jeremiah slipped his hand into mine. He pulled me towards him so our faces were only inches apart. I shuddered, as he said, "i know this is sudden, and we just only met...but you are honestly the most beautiful person i have ever seen in my life."

my cheeks grew murderously hot, as i said in a whisper, "Thank you."

He smiled, and bent down to look at my eyes. He said, "no need to thank me."

I said, "We should go see what Helix and Aria are up to."

We come outside to the gardens to find Aria on Helixs' lap hugging. I cough awkwardly, and Jeremiah covers his face in his left hand, cause his right was holding mine still, trying not to laugh.

Helix glared up at us, then let go of Aria as she scooted onto the grass. She stared forward, and refused to look at any of us.

Lunch was going to be awkwardly funny for her.
