As the moon began its rise the dwarf Lakih was grumbling about the long walk and lack of ale in his satchel of
traveling goods. He decided it was no better a time to set up camp and settle for the coming cold night.
The wind howled through the oaks around Lakih as he was eating the rabbit he had caught earlier in a nice little stew he had prepared. As he finished his stew his Guardian Tablet began to shine as a mark that an injustice was happening nearby. As a paladin he had the responsibility to hold up justice and protect the innocent.
Lakih hauled his massive hammer out of his tent it weighed over 500 pak but as it was bound to him by powerful holy magic for him it weighed nothing. He then slung it over his shoulder and cast an incantation to protect him and set out using his Guardian Tablet as a compass.
No longer then 5 minutes had passed before Lakih heard the sound of struggling. He raised his hammer, muttered a holy phrase to his warrior god Sahmrir, to give him the power to smite these wrongdoers. Lakih using his warrior logic and training decided he would analyse the area, He looked towards the caravan and could see a small ornate box peeking out from the hay. He saw some silhouettes hiding in the tree line he also saw the farmer was not alone and had his wife and daughter with him who were hiding in the caravan. The mother had her daughter huddled behind her and was attempting to protect her with a rusty knife. The man "holding up" this farmer was an old man wielding a flimsy iron dagger he could barely lift with his string thin arms most likely due to starvation another bandit appeared this one more muscled. Lakih charged forth and slammed his massive hammer down upon the skull of the second bandit attacking the farmer and his caravan. Several more bandits appeared from the trees the Dwarf raised his hammer to face these foes and screamed a holy incantation 'Makar Likani Totamaro ' which in turn enchanted his hammer with a temporary holy seal hovering away from the hammer slightly. The next bandit a burly man, charged forth and swung his woodsman's axe at Lakih but he with one swift blow of his hammer the axe shattered and so did the mans courage which had now turned to fear. The man scampered backwards towards his comrades who were standing there open jawed amazed at the sheer strength of this Dwarf. Though the man was weak and defenceless Lakih was a honourable paladin and as such could not kill a man or woman without a weapon or the ability to fight so he threw the mans axe to him. The bandit was confused by this but non-the less picked it up and attacked Lakih with a savage strike but Lakih being a powerful paladin crushed this mans ribcage and one of the bones pierced his heart resulting in instant death. The three remaining bandits were horrifically scared seeing what this dwarf could do they scampered of in all directions but Lakih could not let them be he had to destroy all evil possible and so he charged killing one instantly with a smash in neck, bursting the mans veins. Another was struck by a branch, while running and looking behind him for the paladin, he tripped and pierced him self through the heart on a branch. Lakih followed the last who had hid in a small "shelter" made of large boulders stacked together in a makeshift cave. The dwarf entered found the man and dragged him to the caravan he was the old thin man looking on the brink of starvation Lakih assumed his only chance was to team up with these brigands and attack this farmer. He felt pity for this man and wasn't going to kill his defenceless self, he would instead hand him into the local authorities and let them handle it.
Lakih approached the farmer " Hello there sir are you and your family safe?" he said.
" Yes sir thanks to you " the farmer replied
"Would ya like me to escort you to Lakeshore?
"No we wouldn't want to be a trouble upon you sir"
"Haha it would be no problem sir I'm headin there me self I can catch food for us to eat and I can transport this "bandit" aswell it would be mutually beneficial"
"Anyway i'll be heading back to my campsite to grab my things I will be back shortly"
"I understand sir but please hurry"
On that note Kaih left to hurry back to his camp whilst the farmer and his family cowered in their wagon. Not long had passed when Kaih returned satchel and goods in hand he hopped atop the wagon and gave the farmer a nod, they would be at the town soon.
*** Some time later ***
Kaih awoke with a yawn, after a quick stretch he surveyed his surroundings he saw the farmers child and wife still asleep and a very sleep deprieved farmer still guiding the wagon. Kaih hopped up the front " You can go rest farmer I can take us the rest of the way " Kaih offered.
The farmer took the offer graciously and left to the back of the wooden wagon.
Few more than thirty minutes passed when Kaih arrived at the town, awakening the family he thanked them for the ride grasping the bandit he left for the Justice Office, arriving short there after he handed in the bandit and collected his bounty. With nothing to do he went to the inn to rest until night when the adventurers would flock for easy cash, time to get a group together.
