After School

The bell rang & I picked up all my things and rushed out of the school. I was planning on going to the mall & if I wanted to get there in enough time to spare before the party I had to go now. I rushed to my pink buggy & called Katelynn.

No answer.

I had no choice but to text her or leave her. I texted her as fast as i could.

Me: "Hey Katelynn. Where are you?! We gotta go to the mall. Hurry"

I sat in my car waiting for what seemed to be 10 minutes. Right as i was about to pull off she ran up to my car. "Where the hell were you Katie?! I called you & texted you but you didnt answer me." I asked frantically. "I was having a quick make out sess with Scott. Hes a great kisser Julie!" she said as if it was nothing. I rolled my eyes as we pulled out of the school parking lot.

When we pulled up to the mall I looked over at Katelynn. She was daydreaming as she stared out the window with a goofy smile on her face. "You like Scott!!" I shouted in excitement. "No! No! No! I do not like Scott he's just a guy I like to flirt with a make out with every once in awhile." she pleaded while her cheeks turned crimson red. "Yes you do Katie! You're thinking about him right now I've known you for 10 years and I know when you like someone!" I shouted with excitement. "Okay! Okay! I do like Scott just alittle but I don't want to get to serious because he's a player and I don't want to get hurt." she said staring out the window. I'm sure she's thinking about all the girls that bragged about hooking up with Scott. "Katie look... I've known Scott long enough to know that he's really into you and he would drop every girl just to be with you." I said calmingly as I parked in the mall parking lot. "Thanks. you're the only person I really trust." she said with a slight smile.

"Now let's quit the boy talk and have some girl time!" I said with my credit card in between my pointer and middle finger. We both bolted from the car into the mall stopping at every store we could just to find something to impress the boys. We bought matching thongs and bras from Victoria Secret just in case the deed was done tonight. I bought a nice skin tight spaghetti strapped grey dress that complimented my skin tone with some baige wedges. Katelynn bought a tight sky blue crop top that only covered her breast with a black and white patterned skater skirt that stopped mid thigh and some white knee high boots.

We headed to Katelynns house to relax until it was time to get ready for the party. She was still smiling uncontrollably & I knew why. "So are you going to ask Scott to prom?" I asked trying to find some dirt on them. "He already asked me... I said yeah." She said now hiding her fire red cheeks. I sat up on her bed with my mouth ajar. "When did he ask you?" I said curiously. She laid down staring at her ceiling like they were the stars, "Today, we were walking around the school after the bell rang and he reached for my hand. Then he stepped in front of me and said that he really liked me and wanted to take me to prom. I couldn't help but smile because he's so adorable and of course I said yes which lead to us making out in the first place." she said with love in her voice. "I wish Daniel would ask me to prom. Im kinda scared he's going to go with Stephanie." I admitted with defeat in my voice.

8 o'clock came and we still hadn't gotten dressed. The party started at 9 so we decided to get up & cleaned ourselves up. I got dressed and flat ironed my hair while she took a shower. I wore a light coat of foundation, black eye liner on my bottom lid with a hint of silver eye shadow on the top while Katelynn wore a light coat of white eye liner on her bottom lid and complimented it with a light blue eye shadow that matched her shirt.

We headed downstairs where her mom & little brother were. "Mom I'll be home late tonight." Katelynn said nonchalantly. Her mom didnt care what she did most of the time it was kind of sad, "Okay." she replied waving us off like we were flies. She rolled her eyes as we walked into her kitchen to grab a couple of shot glasses just for us to use at the party. When we left the house it was almost 9 which was perfect we wanted to be fashionably late.
