~CinderKit's POV~
All of ThunderClan sat in the middle of the clearing, surrounding FeatherKit... or at least... what was left of her...
After hearing a loud wail outside the camp, a few warriors rushed out to see what was going on. I remember hearing snarling and yowels, some of pain, and soon SmallTail, AshPelt and CedarLeaf limped into camp. They had scrapes all over them, and SmallTail's ear was torn. But one thing caught my eye.
FeatherKit.
SmallTail was carrying her when they returned, her limp body dangling from his jaws. After laying her down in the center of the clearing, SkyStar almost immediately rushed out of the nursery to her side, as my father took me and MistyKit away from everyone else.
"You won't be seeing FeatherKit again... a fox got to her..." he mewed sadly. MistyKit had begun to pad back to everyone after SmallTail spoke, as I stayed with my father, pressing close to him. He gently bowed his head to give me a couple soft licks on the head. I assumed he was trying to pry my mind away from my deceased sister, but it wasn't working...
"SmallTail? Why did SkyStar take two mates?" I looked up eagerly at him, hoping for an answer, only to see his gaze wander to ThunderClans leader, and darken.
"I guess she couldn't decide between me and AshPelt" he meowed quietly. I had always felt something off about my family, since the day I was born, but I thought nothing of it. I nodded to his response, and I felt him lick the fur along my back to keep it cleaned. "Do you want to go for a walk?"
His words surprised me. Kits weren't allowed outside the camp, and almost as if SmallTail read my mind, he said "you'll be with me. You won't be out there on your own, it should be fine." I eagerly stood up, almost already forgetting the pain that gripped my heart, and I leaped up onto his back. "Onwards!!" I called. He purred, and we headed out of the camp.
A/N I'm aware to anyone reading this story, it's probably really bad. I have nothing better to do, so don't yell at me 😂😂.
