THIS WAS ORIGINALLY A YOONGI ONESHOT JUST SO YOU KNOW

--

"Lenny! Baby where are you?" Lisa cooed silently as she hunched down to look under her sofa for a certain feline.

Her cat had gone missing for the past hour and she was pettrified at the thought of where he could be. She blamed herself for getting to carried away with the stress of university that she forgot to watch over her own cat. She stupidly had forgotten to close the door on her  way in.

But it wasn't the first time Lenny has caused trouble. He ran away from the apartment a couple of times and returned within a couple of minutes. But with those few minutes he used to run across the hallways, scratching the neighbours doormat, scratching the wallpaper, snarling at random plants, jumping on toddlers. Lots of people complained against lisa but she would just assure them that she would get everything under control.

Just not right now. Lenny was missing for a long three hours. He was no where to be seen. She was so sure he ran away and got ran over by a truck because......he was Lenny, her silly cat.

She scrunched her nose in disgust as she took a handful of fish and walked around your apartment , scenting the entire place with the strong smell of fish. Her  genius brain thought he would come out from whichever tight space he was in and jump for the fish in her hand.

But alas! She cried in frustration as she realised she was being no help and the chances of her finding him were...well, not that great.

That was until she heard a loud bark outside her  apartment door. It was a dog. She groaned in annoyance as the barks became persistence. So she  stood up and walked to the door to shut that mutt up. It's not like she hated dogs. She loved them. Just weren't as fond of them as she were for cats.

Just as she pulled the door open, she saw her beloved cat snarling at a brown haird dog and it's owner.

"Min Holly, Calm down girl. It's just a dumb-"

"Lenny!" She exclaimed joyfully and swiftly  scooped her cat into her arms and cuddled it.

"I thought I would never find you." She mummbled as she scratched his soft fur. Lenny purred and nuzzled his tiny face into the crook of her neck.

"Excuse me miss but I'm guessing that is your rat." The owner of the dog snapped. His voice sounded raspy and venomous. Like those butthurt old ladies who always gasped and clutched their chests like they've seen the worst.

She was quite surprised when she glanced at him. He looked like he was in his early twenties and his hair was a light shade of blue. She couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked with a frown hanging from his lips. She was so emersed in studying him that she forgot about situation.

"Hello, miss! Is this that cat?" He snapped.

"What? Oh, Um..yes he is." She answered his question, cursing herself for acting so silly.

"Well, I should have you know that your cat almost scratched my Min Holly. You better teach your pet some manners or if you're too lazy to do so then don't bother owning a pet of you can't handle one." He spat.

Her eyes widened and clutched Lenny closer to her chest. She was left flabbergasted and now wanted to curse the young man who just insulted her her and her baby.

"How dare you talk to me like that." She glared at him.

But he only rolled his eyes and pointed his finger at her cat. "Get that thing trained or I will not hesitate to tell the landlord about your nuisance." He said as he now took his tiny dog into his arms.

"What about your nuisance! That mutt kept barking at my Lenny! If it wasn't for your dog then Lenny wouldn't have been defending herself!" She yelled. She didn't expect her voice to sound louder than it did.

"Oh please" The young man spat.

"Min Holly is as innocent as an angel. Your feline is a work from the devil."

"Ah!" Shr fake gasped.

"Min Holly? So your dog's female? she's a bitch!"

"Just like her owner." She  said with a smug look.

She left the man lost for words. Just like she wanted him to be.

"I-I...how dare you.."He stuttered.

Sensing his awkwardness, his dog whimpered a little bit in his arms and stretched up to lick his master's cheek. Now, if she wasn't a sucker for animals, she would've shook her  head in disgust and slammed her door shut.

But she didn't.

She thought it was cute that his little dog tried to comfort him. She felt bad about yelling at the man and his dog that she cursed herself for being so nice. But times came when you would lose her temper.

"I....didn't mean that. It's just that I'm very defensive about Lenny and-"

"I've had enough of you and your little feline causing so much trouble in the building. First, your stupid cat almost sratches my dog. Second, you insult my dog AND me." He yelled, straight into her face.

She cowered in front of him, holding Lenny ever so close to her chest resulting in him rubbing his face against hers..

"Yo, bro. Calm your balls, I didn't mean to-"

"And you don't even remember who I am?" He gasped, looking offended.

She was now overly confused. Was she supposed to know him? Did his face ever appear to her in her twenty four years of existence. She thought not.

"Uh...I'm sorry but...I have no idea who you are." She pursed her lips, suddenly feeling an awkward tension.

The man in front of her scoffed and bent down to let go of his dog.

"Go home Holly." He gently ordered his dog.

As soon as the little ball of sunshine ran into the appartment, he looked back at her with an unpleasant scowl.

"Oh, so you don't remember the guy you left hanging that night during the winter formals?" He bitterly asked her.

It took her a while to register what was coming out of his mouth. But suddenly her brain seemed to take a quick glance down memory lane,  her highschool past. She remembered that night that took place specifically seven years ago.

"Oh my God." She gasped, embarrased and shocked at the same time. She didn't know what to say. There was a pin drop silence between the two of them .

Lenny was still in her arms but now soundly sleeping. His faint snores was the only sound breaking the silence.

"Jeon Jungkook?" She asked softly. He looked so different from when he was in the eleventh grade. He no longer had those huge annoying glasses that got in the way whenever you two used to kiss.

"Noticed me so soon?" He let out a forced smile before walking back into his apartment.

But before he could slam his door shut, he turned around.

"I thought you were actually different from the rest of your friends. But turned out you were just like them. Thirsty for attention and always causing a nuisance."

And with that he slammed his door shut. The sudden loud noise startled Lenny , causing  him to jerk up from her arms and onto the floor.

After all these years, her regretful high school memories came flooding back. But that wasn't the only thing that came back.

Your nerdy ex-boyfriend too.

"..shit"
