I've stood for the #blacklivesmatter ever since it aroused attention back in 2015/2016. I did not and will still not understand the people who side with #alllivesmatter. The people who are so uninformed and voicing their opinions without even knowing anything.
#BLACKLIVESMATTER DOES NOT LITERALLY MEAN EVERYONE ELSE BUT THEM DO NOT MATTER.
It means, right now in America ( and other parts of the world where the black community suffers racial injustice) it's them who need to be attended to right now.
I am absolutely stunned by the number of cases where black people have died because of the color of their skin.
And as a person of color myself, I'm from India, where my country is still battling with interior racism, casteism, certain groups are marginalized, Muslims are seen as a threat, Dalits are being looked down upon, Muslim students getting harassed, migrant workers are suffering due to the Covid-19 but our government chooses to do NOTHING.
POLICE BRUTALITY AND PRIVILEGE OF CERTAIN COMMUNITIES EXIST IN INDIA. The Delhi riots. The police literally beat up the people till they sung the national anthem, imprisoned and abused STUDENTS for voicing their opinions.
The government does ABSOLUTELY nothing but they use their funds to help construct the fucking Ram Mandir Temple when that should not be a priority right now.
Words can't express the hatred and shame I have for towards government ( BJP TO BE CERTAIN ). They so obviously stand for Hindu dominance.
Please use your platform and voice. It does not have to be in public on social media. But it can also be private discussions with your friends and family.
I also urge you to be more politically knowledgeable about what's going on in your respective countries. Ask people around what they think, form your own opinions but make sure it's in the right stand and reciprocate it to others.
You DO NOT need to know everything in politics to stand up for basic human rights. And that's where I stand for what I know about Indian politics. I'll admit, I don't know much. But I do know that my country is not so great and the government ain't doing SHIT.
