"There is a treason at sea

Could it be me?"

The waves rock my raft across the black

The days turn to weeks till I lose track

Lost child that I am, where do I turn?

Perhaps to the sun, even though it burns

Somehow I found the pain cleansing

Could this fire be a blessing?

The Sky calls to me, oh it calls my name

"Look to me, speak to me, and the sea will be tame"

"Who are you? What is this light?"

"I am the Sky and I will teach you flight

To soar above the sea and find refuge in the sun

You will need not worry about the sea, its reign will be undone"

"I have longed my whole voyage to be warm

But I must ask of you, what is your true form?"

A brief silence then again He spoke "Humanity has branded

Me with many embodiments, shapes and ideals that handed

To their culture a reason for living and acting as they pleased

When all I wanted for you was to Love, that is all I need to be appeased."

"It's hard to Love when drifting on an ocean of temptation

That looks for nothing more than my abnegation

To give in to violence in every form

But I'm tired of the cold and now wish to be warm."

"You need not try so hard to break free

From the grip of the interminable sea

Effortless attempt is all it will take

Fill your being with love and you will awake"

"Awake? I realize that my true me has been asleep

On this raft drifting across the waves never willing to leap

To you, oh Sky, so lift me up and set me free"

"I do wish you to float in my clouds but do not look to me

I cannot act for you, it is on your shoulders to soar

May you find the way so that I may be with the one I adore."

"Then I will, by my heart and dedication

Stand on my raft again, you have my assentation

To finally be lifted from my raft to the Sky

To be with the one who showed me I could fly."
