Telling him I'm sorry, saying everything's alright, being "nice" that was all a hoax. I'm not alright, everything's not fine they dragged me away and he just stood there. He let them drag me away. At first, I was confused, hurt, and scared. If the situation switched and he was being dragged away I would have saved him. I would have, but not anymore. He used to be my friend, I told him everything, we did everything together, he was my everything. But now that doesn't matter, he's not important anymore.
I don't remember much about last night, but here's what I remember. I was sitting in my room with the door locked. Hiding in the corner of my room curled in a ball. Mom was screaming and Dad tried to stop the intruders from destroying the house. I close my eyes trying to block out the sounds. The screams, the furniture being thrown around, the grunts of pain from my father as the intruders managed to pin him down. I hear the sounds of heavy boots coming up the stairs. I try to go deeper into the corner. There's a heavy knock on my door, I freeze. When I don't reply I hear a couple bangs, I close my eyes tighter. There's a heavy thud and the door breaks down. I stand up to grab my bag and start running towards the open window. I jump out heading towards the pool that's only ten feet below my bedroom window. When I'm about nine feet in the air I lurch to a stop, all the air is knocked out of my lungs. Stars start to dance before my eyes. I shake my head to regain control then look up. The stars hadn't completely cleared so I thought the tree next to my window caught me. My eyes start to clear up and the fuzzy form gets clearer. "Oh shit." I look up and see a tall dark man, he's wearing a black dress shirt, sunglasses, black hat, and a stupid smirk that translates to "got ya."
