Cuphead's POV

They took part of my face... why? I was fine! There was nothing wrong with my face, right? The metal half of my face was this golden color, actually, I think my face was made of gold. My right eye iris was black unlike my other eye, which was still red. I fell to my knees and hid my face in my hands. It was too much for me to handle. I was going to be this person who was great and perfect but now, I have no chance. I moved my hands to stare into the mirror in horror. I glided my hand over the soft surface of my metal face. I covered my eye and looked down at the ground. I covered my left eye and took my hand off my right. Both eyes vision was clear as day. I sighed in relief. I heard someone running up the stairs so I grabbed the cloth and put it on the metal part of my face.

"Cup?" a high pitched voice could be heard on the other side of the door.

"Come in," I said in my normal, blunt but edgy, voice.

The door opened to reveal my little twin brother, Mugman.

"Cup? You ok?" he started to walk over and I grabbed his hand.

I forced him to sit down next to me. We looked each other in the eyes. I pulled my hand away and placed it next to my leg. Mugman smiled and placed his hand on mine. He leaned forward and let the rim of his head hit mine lightly. I made a soft clink. He pulled away and looked at me with concern as I felt some tears run down my face. I launched myself forward a little and tackle-hugged Mugman. He tensed up but then hugged me back.

"Mugman... they mangled me," I moved onto his lap and looked up at him with tears in my eyes.

I'm not one to cry or need help. I like to be that badass cup who's name will strike fear into people's hearts. I sat upright in front of Mugman. I took of the fabric surrounding my eye and gazed at him. I dropped the fabric onto the ground.

"Bro your eye..." he trembled.

"Mugman, please help me keep this secret," I looked down.

He put his hands on the sides of my face and wiped the tears away.

"Don't worry Cup. You don't need to hide this," I grabbed his hands and glared at him.

"No Mug! You don't get it!" I sighed, "If Bendy sees me like this then..."

"It'll be ok Cup! The world won't end if Bendy finds out! Why do you even care if he sees it?" Mug glared back at me.

I gulped. How do I say this without sounding super gay? I mean, Bendy is a great guy and I kinda like him but only as a friend. I don't want to have that kind of relationship after what happened a year ago with Oswald's caravan. Crayon may have been the only person I could've loved. But she was a girl and Bendy isn't so maybe, I have a chance?

I opened my mouth to reply but he looked away and paid no heed.

"It's fine if you're not ready to tell me Cup," Mug sighed and clasped his hands together.

"Thank you Mug but still," I rolled my eyes, "promise me you won't tell them till I'm ready."

He nodded and picked up the fabric that was on my head off the ground. He put it back on my head and hugged me.

"Twins help twins. Right Cup?" I looked at him shocked and he giggled, smiling at me, "alright Cup. Get some sleep,"

He got up and left, closing the door behind him. I'm alone again. This empty feeling, I've never felt this before. I laid down on my bed. I closed my eye and drifted into restless sleep.
