I feel so appreciated

Max POV

" David?!" I exclaimed out of shock from what had just happened.

Then David looked down at me as he was running and said, " Hi Max!"

I smiled at is dorkyness, especially at what the situation is right now.

Then David slowed down and stopped to catch his breath.

Then we heard Pikeman scream,

" WHAT ARE YOU TWO KNUCKLEHEADS DOING?! GET HIM!!"

We could here Petrol and Snake run into the woods.

David then picked up his speed once again and ran into a cave.

" They probably won't find us in here,"  David said, setting me down.

" Key word, probably," I said giving him a bit of a glare.

" Anyway, are you okay?" David said with sincerity in his voice.

" Yeah... I'm fine.." I said, covering my eye a bit more.

" Wait, what's wrong with your eye?"

" Nothing David- Hey!" I said as David put my hair back, revealing my eye.

He looked at it in a bit of shock, then he hugged me.

" I'm sorry, I should have taken care of you. I'm your camp counselor for Peets sake!"

"David! Shut the fuck up! There was nothing you could have done, but at least you got me out of there, for now at least," I said, still hugging him.

"Yeah, your right, we should think of the positive!"

" Alright, now can you get the fuck off of me,"

" First,language. Second, okay,"

David let go of me, then I heard a noise and looked over, I saw Snake with a candy cane in his mouth.

" Shit..." I whispered then David looked over and froze.

Snake took the candy cane out of his mouth and threw it at David.

"Look out!!" I yell as I push David over.

We both fell, but then quickly got back up to run.

David picked me up again and ran right passed Snake, who whistled, signaling the others.

Then, out of nowhere, Petrol jumped out of a tree, but then got pushed midair by Nikki who had jumped out of another tree.

Then she got down on all fours and howled.

David took a sharp turn and we ended up back at the camp.

Gwen was waiting there for us with a grenade in her hand.

When we reached her, Petrol and Snake came running after us.

But before they could reach us, Gwen threw the grenade up on the air and backed up, then Nerris ran up with a baseball bat and hit the grenade over at them.

They both freaked out and ran back into the forest. But before the grenade went off, Pikeman ran up and said,

" You cowards! What are you so afraid of-"

Then the grenade blew up. When the smoke passed, we saw Pikaman with wide eyes and black stuff on his face. And a few places on his uniform were on fire.

Then he pulled out a white flag and said,

" W-We surrender,"

Then he fell onto his back. Petrol and Snake then peeked their heads out from behind a tree.

They picked up Pikeman and rowed him back across the lake to their camp.

" Nice! We fucking did it!" Neil exclaimed, " And we didn't even have to use phase two!"

" Phase two?" I asked, a bit confused.

" Oh, we were going to either trap them in a pit, or Harrison was going to use his magic on them,"

I shuddered, remembering the last time Harrison used magic on me.

" Well, thanks guys, I honestly thought none of you gave a shit about me,"

" Well, you should really be thanking Nikki, she's the only reason we did this," Nurf said pointing to Nikki.

I looked over to Nikki, who said,

"I honestly just wanted to go on more adventures, and knew Neil would be to much of a pussy to go,"

I rolled my eyes.

"Wow, thanks Nikki, I feel so appreciated," I said, obviously being sarcastic.
