The three of them watched from distance as the bunker burnt to the ground. The only sounds were the crackling and whipping sounds from the far off flame.

After a while, the eldest brother turned to the younger one, a look of contentment on his face. "How does it feel, Sammy? All those years of us chasing those bastards to the ends of the earth are over. You think we can handle it?"

"First of all, it's Sam," the younger brother replied. "Second of all, I think with some time, retirement will look good on us."

The third man answered for the eldest brother. "I don't think what we have in store will be any traditional retirement."

The eldest brother snorted. "No kidding. Rebuilding Heaven is not at all like building a shed or fixing up an old car."

"It will take a long time, but one day, it may be as it was when I was young."

The younger brother flashed a grin when a thought crossed his mind. "How many times do you think the US Men of Letters will call on us for help?"

The elder brother matched his smile. "At least once a week. Likely more. Though we did give them all the lore and weapons from the bunker, so that should help at least a little."

A comfortable silence fell around them and they watched what the would have called their home a time ago collapsed in on itself, the structure sending smoke high into the atmosphere. The man in the old trench coat took the eldest brother's hand and squeezed it assuredly. The eldest brother smiled at him.

"Well," the younger brother said. "Think it's time to get started?"

"Why not?" the elder returned.

With a smile donning each of the three men's faces, the one in the trench coat reached out to either side of himself and rested a hand on the brothers' shoulders.

Suddenly, the men were gone with the faintest sound of feathers in their wake.

A/N: Hey guys, sorry I haven't been posting much recently. Going through some shit :) Anyway, I was thinking about making a book entirely dedicated to this idea, just some alternate potential endings to the show. Some happy, some sad, some maddeningly bittersweet, you know. They'll also bee a fair bit longer. Please let me know if that would be something of interest to you! -Jordan
