THE AESIR PROPHECY

The world of Asgard fallen
The Gods weak and forgotten
The Fates decree your future thus
Until you learn to love and trust
The judgement of Yggdrasil.

Odin
Father of All Gods
Henceforth father of none
Ne'er again the sight of eye-of-one
Of your children begotten
Pain for your pridefulness rotten.

Loki
God of Mischief
For the lies of your tongue silver
A body of flesh unfamiliar
Permanence be the rival
Of your own survival.

Baldr
God of Light
Your death the cause of anguish
The light of Asgard extinguished
Suffering gave you no pause
Yet henceforth you are the cause.

Sif
Goddess of the Earth
From birth declared a beauty
The filly forsook her sacred duty
Now let the dirt tell the fable
Of a dead god's mind unstable.

Tyr
God of War
The warbeast's bloodthirstiness a scourge
The realms endured your purge
Your soul restless in the aftermath
That cares not of your wrath.

Sigyn
Goddess of the Faithful
Chasing a sinner and lover
Long after their crimes uncovered
Your journey by them reflects
Loyalty which so few respect.

Thor
God of Thunder
The rash and prideful Viking
From your fingertips the lightning
The mortals unfazed
Your days passed in a haze.

Freyja
Goddess of Love
You who lights the match
Of both lonely and attached
The woman now a pawn
Till the cruelty lifted by dawn.

Freyr
God of Fertility
The worship and mortal trust
Fed the insatiable lust
The fog of seduction
Leaves one helpless to corruption.

Frigg
Goddess of the Sky
The mother and loyal wife
Ignored the human strife
Care now for the children broken
Your bleeding heart wide open.

Thus their lives decided
So the world might one day brighten
With the choices they make
The paths they should take
Hope once again rises.
