Anatomy
Each cell has a function
Each function operates an organ
Each organ serves a system
That keeps me alive
The world is full of things
Things I can't even see
Things that can't live on their own
They use me so they might live
They burrow into my skin
Pass by a mucous membrane
And they're in
In to wreak havoc
Invade each little part of me
Exploding each cell
Consuming me
Every cell in my body can become sick
But it was glossed over that
My brain can become sick too
This is far more complex than meningitis
Inflammation of the meninges
Dura mater, arachnoid mater, pia mater
My cells killing themselves
So that I wouldn't have to
No matter how hard I try
My memory cells only remember this
It will never go away
I am not immune
