"Very well, here we are" added Colin. Phantom looked around seeing the place was covered in ice. "How very...Elsa" he said. "So... Raef is king of this place" he asked. Colin nodded but then heard noises. These creatures that looked skeletal, with claws, tattered wings, soulless black eyes, and an odd black substance on the teeth flew above them. "His reapers, they're more powerful then before, run!" Exclaimed Colin. The duo took off to get away before ducking into this dark alley.
The orb on phantom's staff glowed suddenly before an odd red aura appeared around one of the reapers. "Well.... Looks like somebody hasn't paid their debt to the king of hell" stated phantom smirking. He stepped out facing them. "You know, my king has some words for you" he said. They hissed but the red aura one was frightened in the presence of phantom. "You don't belong here dealmaker....go home..... You aren't the one we want" they said to him. Phantom shrugged and laughed a bit. "Yeah sorry, I'm not leaving" he said before attacking the group.
A red light shot out and struck the reapers defeating them in one blow. He then walked to the red aura one and knelt down. "Off to lord diablo you go" he said quietly before he pulled the soul into the staff and made it vanish in a puff of red smoke. He stood up and faced the others. "Anyone else?" He asked. The reapers flew off quickly.
Colin just was wide eyed in shock on phantom's attack. The demon walked over and blew a bit of smoke off his staff. "There, simple result" he said. "Ok I did not expect that from you" admitted Colin. Phantom smirked looking at him before saying "I'm full of surprises". Phantom nodded in indication ready to keep going. Colin turned and walked more. " knowing Raef he'll be in his ice cave and be prepared for traps ".
Phantom nodded but hid a smirk. " I like the sound of this guy " he murmured. In the ice cave Raef was watching them on the screen. "ơɧ ɠơơɖ" he said. "Oh no, Raef don't you dare hurt him!" Exclaimed Lain telepathically. Raef grinned evilly and turned to face the frozen Lain before he strode over. "wɧąɬ'ʂ ɬɧɛ mąɬɬɛr ląıŋ?". " ɖơŋ'ɬ wąŋɬ mɛ ɬơ ɧųrɬ ყơųr ℘rɛcıơųʂ cơlıŋ ąɠąıŋ? " he asked keeping a smirk on his face.
"Raef I swear to god when I'm out I'll freaking kill you!" Yelled Lain making Raef flinch. "ყơų rɛąllყ ŋɛɛɖ ɬơ wơrk ơŋ ყơųr ɬɛm℘ɛr" he said. He touched the portal and attacked the frozen Lain reaching into her memories. She screamed in pain while Raef pulled back. "ơɧ ყơųr ʄɛąr ıʂ ʂɬrơŋɠ" he said. He summoned the memory by making Colin and phantom go into it. The two guys noticed this hole appear beneath them making them look down. "Oh crap" added phantom before the duo screamed and fell through.
They went down for what seemed to be a couple hours but in limbo time is nonexistent. Both arrived in this odd town. "Ok where are we?" Asked phantom. Colin looked around. "This is... Lain's old town" he said. "Raef tapped into her memories and fears, stay on alert" he said. The duo walked noticing townspeople memories all around. "What exactly do you know about this?" Asked phantom.
Colin sighed. "It's the place where her mom just abandoned her". Flashbacks of the comic are seen as Colin voices over. " I don't know much but according to Lain, she and her birth mom came here when she was a little girl ". "Her mom seemed upset about something but she didn't know what". "All she remembered was that her mom set her on a bench said she was going to get some candy and told her to stay". " once her mom left she waited there for hours... Only for her own mother to never return ". It goes back to realty and Colin sighed before saying " no one knows what happened to her, but she was just.... Gone ".
Phantom was shocked. "Ok this'll be the only time you hear this from someone like me, but that's just cruel!" "A mother doing that to her own child" he said. He was angry that his orange eyes turned red with flaming fury a moment. "Well I'm sure hell will be having her" added Colin. Phantom nodded before they continued forward. "So you show up again" a weird voice said revealing to be one of Colin's memory figments but with memory figments he didn't recognize. "The cheerleader?" Asked Colin.
"These others must be from lain's memories" added Colin. The duo faced them. "All the spirits in the realm let me hear you scream!" Called the cheerleader memory. The duo covered their ears hearing wails echo throughout the area. "Colin and your friend, now it's time for you to be d-e-a-d" she said. She sent out suddenly this blast of energy from her pom poms making them both gasp and duck. "Raef must've given them more power during their time in no place" added Colin. Phantom saw the orb glow and a red aura appeared around the cheerleader.
"And your friend owes my master a debt" he said. The duo got up. Colin focused before he was able to materialize the space blaster. "Let's go!". Both of them fought back. " I got the cheerleader " added phantom. They defeated the enemies while phantom faced the cheerleader. "Prep girl, time to go" he said. He captured the cheerleader in his staff before she vanished in red smoke to hell.
The duo panted. Raef roared watching that. "ɬɧơʂɛ ɬwơ ɬɧıŋk ɬɧɛყ cąŋ ɬrყ ɬơ ʂɬơ℘ mɛ?!". " ŋơɬ ɬɧıʂ ɬımɛ! " he exclaimed. He used his own abilities before the duo vanished and ended up in seperate locations.
