As I grab the keys to my jeep i shout to granny that I'm leaving, and head out to the car port, and hopping into my black, topless jeep. I only use the top durring winter, or if it rains. I throw my beach bag over my shoulder, plug my Iphone into the jack and turn up one of my favorite songs, Call Me Maybe and head to Regan's house. Annie and I met Regan a few years into elementery school, when we helped out in to 2nd grade classrooms once a week. She is a year younger than us but she is super smart, and pretty. She has big brown eyes, and brown blonde hair, that falls to just above her elbows and is like a size 2.
When i get to her house i honk twice and before Regan can even open the door her 5 year old brother Tommy runs out to the car and asks breathlessly if he can tag along, and i just laugh and say " Sorry little man but its High Schoolers only today but maybe Regs and I can take you later this week kay?" He just pouts alittle and then gives in and runs back just as Regan comes out followed by her mother, who waves and then takes her 1 year old youngest daugter Tori, from Regan and heards Tommy into the house. Regan has a huge family. Her older sister, Savannah, is 2 years ahead of me and in CSU studying to become a director, Regan, then Andre her 14 year old brother who starts High School with us this year, Joe a 8 year quite kid, Rhiana, aka Rhi whose 7 and thinks shes the queen of the world, Tommy, and Tori. Her mom and dad always swore they wanted a big family...and well they got it. And im a part since me, Annie and Regan have been practically inseperable since we me met.
As regan hopes she throws her bag in the back next time and tells me we gotta stop at some gas station so we can get snacks and drinks to fill her empty cooler. I laugh and no just as one of our all-time favorite songs come on. Without You by David Guetta. We start to sing along and she cranks it up, about half way through when we hit the highway. A few songs and ridiculous seat dancing (all Regan) we stop at a 7/11 on I-25 and hop out to by alot of junk food, like choclate, jerky, and chips, and about 4 bottles of Arizona Fruit Punch Tea each. She grabs ice to for the cooler and then we fill it and head back onto the highway and head up to our favorite hang out. A small lake just alittle ways out of Estes Park.
About halfway through Beyonce's Halo, i turn down the music and ask " so how's the family since I havent been able to stop by lately?" She laughes and replies" crazy. V annah is getting ready to rent an apartment with, one of her friends, and so mom is busy helping her chose, and decorate, and Andre is being all gmoody cause school starts soon, and he wont admit it but i know he's nervous, not that he should be since we will take care of him. I guess Alex is giving him a lift up here since he refused to come with and i quote"a bunch of weird ass girls" which i promptly slapped him for! And Joe well he's Joe, you know always watching one of his dumb cartoons or playing on one of his gaming consoles, and dont even get me started on Rhi, i mean i love her but this im queen of everything is pissing me off! And well Tommy has finally decided hes chill with wearing atleast shorts as yous aw, which is better than him running around naked. And well Tori is a sweet little angel, she never cries at night, and she is just really sweet and quite, so ya right now she is my favorite!" I chuckled at that long explenation and say "damn i miss them! God thing Andre's coming today, so I can beat some sense into him about this scared nonsense, and i will probaly visit later this week." We just smile at each other and she turns up the music which is now Fire Burning on the Dance Floor by Sean Kingston, and she resumes dancing around like a crazy person in a seat belt, so i spend the last 20 min of the drive laughing at her antics.
When we pull up at the Lake I'm happy to see that the only cars here all belong to my friends. Danny's red Jeep (topless as well), Annie's Yellow beetle, Michale's tan Chevy taho, Levi's black Ford F-150 and Mitch's Red Toyata Truck. As we grabbed our stuff Regan informed me that Lauren and Courtney came with Annie, and Peyton and Nate came with Danny. Which left Alex who was apperently bringing the good twins Cat(Catherine) and Mary and Eliza(Elizabeth) their younger sister as well as Andre.
We followed the sounds of laughter up the sandy trail heading for the beach. As we rounded the cornner, I felt a smile crawl onto my face at the site of all of my friends sitting there in a huge circle waiting for all of us to show up before swimming. As we get nearer i take in the site of all my pretty friends noting the changes to each since I saw them last.
Danny is tall, dark yummy. He has naturally dark skin, he is 6'1" and has dark choclate eyes. He is Running Back of the football team, and was the clostest thing i had to an older brother. He is 2 months older than me and another one to join me and Annie in elementry school. Annie, my bestest friend on the planet, She is my height 5'7" and has long, light brown hair, that durring the summer gets natural blonde highlights. She plays beach volleyball in the summer, and we both play for the school team in the fall. She has sky blue eyes that always sparkle, and is also an A+ honnors student. Lauren who is 5'5" and is member of the track team in the spring and in Color Gaurd with the band in the fall and winter. She is gorgeous! She is naturally skinny, and has golden blonde hair that always looked great with litle to no styling in the morning, and her green eyes are a shade darker than mine. Courtney our resident tomboy, her 5'4" height dosent slow her down when in a fight. She is one of the coolest chicks i know. Shes also Regans age. Her blonde slightly wavy hair always thrown up in a pony or cascading down her back to about her elbows. Her brown eyes always glitter mischeiviously, she is quite the prankster. She has a small stud in her nose thats neew, but not unexpected. Michale, our giant, and wide reciver, he is 6'4" and muscular. His light brown, curly hair messily arranged on his head like he probaly ran his fingers through it moments before got here, and his blue eyes and wide smile dazling as always. Nate was a ginger like me, but far morre darastic. We call our own personal Weasly. His bright red hair falling slightly into his green eyes, and his freckles spattered across his nose. He is 6' and muscular, but he is a skater, instead of football player. Levi is another tall dark and yummy guy. His jet black hair falling in his shaggy Justin Beiber hair cut falling into his dark brown eyes. He's Nate's best friend and fellow skater, but he is also beast at basketball. His famous smirk lit his face the minute he saw us. Peyton is a blonde version of Levi only he plays football and baseball. His blue eyes and smirk help him land just as many girls as Levi. They are both quite the players.
We joined the circle and we all caught up on gossip while waiting for Alex and them to get here. A few minuets later we heard a hank and the saw Alex and them emerging seconds later. Alex is a bit more of a book worm. He is super smart, and just so happens to be Annie's boyfriend. Cat and Mary are Blonde like there super model mother and just as skinny but have no intrest in modeling, the cheer on our cheer squad but are not quite as into it as the other girls. Eliza is blonde and small for her age but her and Courtney are like the Batman and Robin of our group. All three have blue eyes.
As soon as we caught up with them we all shared a look, before stripping down to our swim suits and racing towards the dock to dive on in. When i hit the water at the same time as Danny and Nate i gasped. It was freezing,b ut i pused up to the surface and swam around to where they were all heading, the tree on the far side of the lake that was perfect for diving in. By the time we got there, I was plenty warm, and as all of us girls watched the boys climb up the tree and do crazy jumps in, we laughed and aplluaded.
