We spent atleast 2 hours messing around in the water. Alex started a huge water fight, we all showed of our tricks, and our swimming skills in diving and swimming contests. Basically we acted like the dorks we are for 2 hours. When we finally decided we looked prunish enough, we all hopped out of the Lake, and the guys went to the cars to get the fire wood one of them got and us girls pooled all of our food to see if we had anything. We decided to roast smores, and basically eat junk. Alex had brought hot dogs, so the guys decided to cook them over the fire.
“So, Vic you having a good summer?” Alex asked. “Yup, granny’s better so I haven’t had to help her to much, and I’ve earned some good money for the college fund, oh and I haven’t ran into the bitch twins either, so its been damn good. How bout you lover boy?”
Alex blushed from where he was sitting next to Annie while all the guys cracked up at his new nickname. I smirked at him waiting for the answer I knew was coming.
“Well since I’ve gotten to spend most of it either at Science camp or with my girl, its been great! Oh and would you please not call me that, any of you!” We all laughed and poked fun at the nerd for spending almost half of his summer at Science Camp in New Mexico, while his girlfriend spent it at the Beach in Cali. Then I turned to the footballer’s as we called them and asked “He jocks, when does football camp start?” with my smirk still on my face. Danny just shook his head at me and replied “Tomorrow, which is why we are here today. And you do realize that you’re considered a jock to? When does Volleyball practice start anyway?” Annie answered “Well, we aren’t as bad as some of you who play a sport every damn season!” I laughed and answered his other question. “Well if you must know, it starts the day before school does. By the way, are we all meeting up for Junior Registration tomorrow?” They all nodded and the guys said they would meet us there since football camp was in the a.m. “Okay, last but not least, how bout our resident players? And you Nate?” came from Regan. Levi smirked and replied “Damn I love summer! Especially in Cali, where there is a bunch of hot chicks in bikini’s.” and Peyton answered “You know I get girls no matter what season, and well summer is the best time to scout because girls put their bodies on display.” I just rolled my eyes along with the rest of the girls and turned to Nate. “Well, I went to visit my grandparents in New York, so I got a lot of Designer crap I can’t wear and or won’t wear, and then Mom and I went to Texas, oh and my dad showed up last week…” He faded out and I looked up at him shocked, so did everyone else.
See Nate’s kinda like me, his dad left his mom after he knocked her up in high school, and hasn’t been around enough to even call himself a father. So him showing up had to have ment he either wanted something, or he wanted to rub something in Charlotte’s face. See me and Nate are quite close because he’s the only person who really understands what I go through with my parents, and his mom and granny are quite close, dispite the age difference.
No one dared to ask how that went, and Danny quickly changed the topic of discussion. “So what did everyone sign up for this year?” We all looked at our 2 nerds, knowing that their list would be longer than ours, and much more impressive. Annie answered first. “AP History, AP Lang, Teacher Cadet, Advanced Chemistry, Advanced Algerbra II, and Spanish 4.” I groaned. “Ann! The only classes we might have together are Lang and Teacher Cadet!” She just smirked at me and answered back “Well Victoria, I cant help it that I’m the smart one in our little duo!” I just rolled my eyes. I’m pretty smart but not her level smart. Then came Alex. “Well, I’m taking AP Lang, AP History, Advanced Calculous 2, Advanced Physics, Spanish 4, and Student Council.” I rolled my eyes. “A, you do realize that you are going to die without an off hour or 2 right?” And everyone laughed. He just rolled his eyes and asked “well smart ass what are you taking?” “Spanish 3, AP Lang, U.S. History, Chemistry, Algerbra II, and weight lifting with the Danster.” Danny laughed, “Ya and shes one of the only girls in there that wont be drooling over all of us football players.” I just laughed and replied “Damn skippy!” while eating a smore.
2 hours and lots of food later we all said our goodbyes and headed home. When I dropped Regs off I asked “You wanna take the kiddo’s to Water World Friday?” She smiled and replied “Sure, mom would love the break and I could use the tan!” I just laughed and said we should take her mom’s van if it was okay, and that I’d be there at 10. Then I headed home to check on granny and get all my damn paper work done for registration.
