Neo stared down at Eric who held them down at gun point. Eric had positioned himself just far enough away to not be in any danger from either of them, leaving the two of them with no way of escaping. But in most situations like these, this was when Neo's clever mind began to think up a thing or two and that always seemed to make the impossible change into the very possible. After all, you couldn't wear the title of a worldwide woman stealer guy if you couldn't come up with a plan in a situation like this.

Neo started looking around the room, all the while trying his best to look at everything but Jacquelyn. The very sight made him forget what he was doing and he'd have to go through a long process of remembering again, and he didn't have the energy for that. With Anise out of the room, he felt as if a blanket was slowly being lifted from his mind. Thoughts were becoming easier again and an idea was slowly forming.

Normally a plan such as this was beneath him. It was manipulative at its finest and made Neo feel slimy just thinking about it. He was second guessing himself when he Jacquelyn's weak moan from the middle of the room, she was losing blood and fast. Neo's heart lurched and he fixed himself. His sister was behind everything. Behind the murders, the rumors, the blackmail, everything. And now she was the reason his lover was on the floor in pain. If she wasn't his sister he'd imagine he'd be a million times more pissed right now, but their shared blood only had him at pissed. He felt hurt mostly. He mourned his father already but now he was mourning his sister, and not just any sister... His baby sister.

He lost himself in his thoughts, asking himself, where did I go wrong, and, what happened to make her so... like this? When he couldn't think of anything he wondered if it was all his fault to begin with. He wondered what would have happened if he had stayed with Yuria, if he had married her. Would he have had kids already, at such a young age? He'd probably already be head of his clan with Yuria standing next to him. Was she really so bad that he had to run away from everything he once loved and treasured as a child?

He heard Jacquelyn groan again as she pulled a knife from her arm and he frowned.

If he had known Jacquelyn was going to be involved, he would have stayed. If he had known that Jacquelyn would end up where she was right then, he would have hit her harder that day and would have stolen the documents and left her. She was in this mess because of him, and now she was paying the price.

Nursing him back to health, being there for him, she even cooked for him and made him coffee when she felt he needed it. She was everything he had left to find and when he found it... He took it and brought it to such a dark place.

She'd be better off without me.

Neo clenched his teeth and turned his attention back to Eric, who had been watching Jacquelyn with slight interest as she dug the embalming tools out of her body. He felt instant regret from his previous thoughts and mentally scoffed.

If I feel so damn bad about it, I better make sure she gets out of here in one piece... If she still wants me with her then I'll be happy to follow.

He cleared his throat. "Eric."

Eric turned his attention to Neo with a bored expression on his face but waited for Neo to continue.

"Don't you have a dress to be making? I think your sister is getting cold," Neo sneered. Eric's eyes instantly lit up with anger and his nostrils flared.

"Don't you even talk about her. Just shut up and hang there!" He practically snarled.

Neo rolled his eyes, "I mean it's not like I can do anything else." Neo could see Eric's jaw visibly clench and Neo knew talking about Yuria was the right choice. While he felt bad about it, he felt a strange sense of rightness about it all. Almost as if something was telling him to keep going. "I know what it's like y'know."
