Chapter 3: Surprises

The hotel room was large and filled with large furniture, I typed quietly at the keyboard while Watari made tea. I stood from my chair bored with the silence I stare out the window, the hotel across from me is a tall building currently engulfed in flame. "It appears he made the first move." I say quietly taking a large swirly pop into my mouth biting a piece off with a satisfying crunch, Watari rushes to my side surprised by the loud explosion. "L! Wasn't that the hotel you planned to stay in on the way here?" He asks worriedly.

I booked as a ploy, I intended to stay here the whole time, Eraldo Coil would have been able to figure that out, which means this wasn't him. An assassin perhaps?" I look out to the reflection of the building and see a figure, I study it seeing her well rounded figure up to her thin blue hair, her suit was black and she was wearing a mask, but it was unmistakably her.

"Oh, it's her." I mutter to myself Watari left to have a near mental breakdown.

I move back to the computers and type away searching for the assassin. I almost effortlessly hack her account and find her photos, her assassin name? "V" The name I know her by? "Vissa" My Sister.

Vissa's POV:

I'm running down the stairwell tearing the black suit away revealing a blue blouse, small black skirt, and a blue striped thigh high socks, I already hid my weapons, I turn on my cell, as soon as I do It starts ringing. I stop as I see the caller I.D. Is blocked, I put the phone to my ear and say in a faked cheery voice. "Heyo this is Veronica!"

A slow Synthesized voice greeted me. "Well Vissa, you have my attention."

"L?" My voice quivers, and i smile. "Where are you?!" "can i come see you.?" I shout in the phone excitedly.

"Room 539 of the hotel you're standing in."

"seeya soon!" I giggle and zoom down the stair to see my brother.

When I get to the room I know five times so he knows it 's me, when the door opens I hug Watari and walk in.

"What's the big idea staying in the room across from where I was suppose blow up? you couold have gotten hurt!"

He sits in his chair facing away from me. "Hurt? I could have died if I hadn't outsmarted you."

"what? No, I wasn't asigned to kill you, it was some Ryuzaki K-"

"Korosama." L cut me off, holding up a fake Id with the name on it.

"Eraldo Coil played a smart move, with one move he could take out the worlds greatest assassin, and the worlds best detective. Under another name you would have had no quirls about killing me, and once you had found out it was me you had killed, you would be devastated, ending your career, and possibly your life. This move was well planned. Vissa, I'm sorry, in order for me to survive you need to die, he has me in a bind that I can't get out of."

Coil POV:

Eraldo Coil stood from his hotel room at the top floor peering at his assassin as she stood on the rooftop, her white hair flowing in the wind, she held her necklace in her hand, letting it go. He smiled as he watched her move towards the edge and nearly chuckled as he saw her fall. Time seemed to slow as He had won, L and V were now dead.
