Chapter 2: Part 2-Murder and abduction

Walking through the slums of honnou city. Ryuko was lost in thought while the cold wind blew, she shivered.

Ryuko: damn...I hate the cold.

As she continues to walk, a voice was heard behind her.

???: what are you doing, walking in the middle of the night ryuko?

Ryuko turns around to see her sister, the former empress of honnouji academy, Satsuki kiryuin.

Ryuko: (smiles sadly) oh hey satsuki.

Satsuki: Can't sleep ryuko...?

Ryuko: Sigh... yeah.

Satsuki sits next to her sister, expression changed from stoic to concern.

Satsuki: I take it you're thinking about Senketsu again?

Ryuko: Yeah... same as always... (looks at satsuki) I know it's hard for me to move on and accept the fact that senketsu is gone but I feel like he's still with me, even though I'm not wearing him.

Satsuki: Ryuko... senketsu may be gone however, his heart and soul still exist within you, a true bond that can never be severed.

Ryuko chuckled while giving her sister a warm smile thinking about satsuki's statement.

Ryuko: Yeah... like the bond I have with you and mako, even though you put me through a lot of crap ever since we were enemies and I thought you were the one who killed dad. But through this freaking time, we were fighting our monstrous b***h of a mother Ragyo and saving the world from being eaten alive by life fibers, I've really gotten to know you better after that... sis.

Ryuko blushes in embarrassment, calling satsuki "sis" as she hasn't done that often.

Satsuki: indeed... (hugs ryuko) I do wish to know you better as well, the sister I thought dead for all these years I plan to insure the bond is strong between us.

Ryuko blushes even more at what satsuki said about their bond being strong between them. She returned the hug.

Ryuko: T-thanks satsuki.

They soon broke the hug and looked up at the night sky, the moon was very bright this time of night and stars were scattered throughout the sky as the cold wind blew.

Ryuko: Brrr... I hate the cold.

Satsuki: Well it's time we head back, wouldn't you agree ryuko?

Ryuko: Yeah, let's-

Ryuko was cut off by a massive explosion outta nowhere not too far from her and satsuki.

Ryuko: What the hell?!

Satsuki: ......

Ryuko takes out the two shrunken scissor blades, returning them to normal size and hands the other half to Satsuki, which the blade turns a deep blue in her grasp. Ryuko and Satsuki starting running and jumping across the rooftops of buildings to find the source of the explosion.

The Mankanshoku House was burned down in flames.

Ryuko: No... nononono!!

Ryuko runs towards the house.

Satsuki: Ryuko wait!

Satsuki's yells fell on deaf ears as ryuko ran into the collapsing and burning house. She frantically searched the place while dodging and evading the falling platforms and fires, Ryuko searched one last room and as she did... she screamed.

Ryuko: AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!

Laying down on the ground were the brutalized, mutilated and the lifeless bodies of Barazo, Sukuyo, Mataro and Guts.

Ryuko: No... No they can't be...

Staring at the horrifying site, Ryuko slowly backed away before turning and running out of the house, nearly bumping into Satsuki as they both got to safety while the Mankanshoku House collapsed in flames.

Satsuki: Ryuko, what happened?!

Ryuko: Dead.... they're all dead!! Mako's mom, dad, brother and dog... they were mutilated, cut up and stabbed!

Satsuki's eyes widened.

Satsuki: Ryuko... Where's Mako Mankanshoku?

That question echoed in ryuko's head. She searched the house, found mako's family dead but no mako.

Ryuko: I don't know... she's wasn't in there! (Starts panicking)

Satsuki was about to tell ryuko to keep calm but something caught her eye in the night.

Ryuko: Satsuki? What's wrong, whatta you staring at?

Ryuko turns around to see what was satsuki staring at. The black and red haired girl's eyes widened in shock and horror as the sight.

It was the cloaked masked figure from her nightmare, standing on one of the building rooftops, staring at the two with ominous black and white eyes. And in his grasp was an unconscious Mako Mankanshoku.

Ryuko: You...

Satsuki: Ryuko? You know this man...?

Ryuko gritted her teeth as her face contorted into an expression of pure rage.

Ryuko: You Bastard!!!! You're gonna pay for this!!!!

Masked figure: (dark, distorted voice) By all means... Try.

Ryuko leaps up to the several building rooftops with satsuki following her as she got up to the rooftop where the masked figure was waiting for her.

Ryuko: (angry) give mako back or I'll pulverize you long before you die!

Masked figure: I'm gonna go with... No...

Satsuki: (cold glare) You shall pay for your crimes, assailant.

Ryuko and Satsuki both lunged at the masked figure to attack him but he blocked their attack with a large, black sharp blade.

Masked figure: Too slow... far too slow...

Ryuko and Satsuki growled as they come at the masked figure with a combination of sword strike but even with their combined might was no match for the masked figure as he pushed them back with a wave of white and black aura as they hit the ground.

Ryuko: Gaah!!

Satsuki: Ngh!

The two siblings slowly got up to see the masked figure, still holding mako, formed a portal out of black and white aura from his hands. The masked figure walks towards it but not before turning around to glance at Ryuko and Satsuki.

Masked figure: Farewell Ryuko matoi and Satsuki kiryuin.... we shall meet again in due time...

The masked figure turns around and heads through the portal, taking mako with him.

Ryuko: MAKO!!!

Wanting to save her friend, Ryuko runs towards the portal with Satsuki following after ryuko as they both went through the portal after the masked figure, the entrance closed and leaving honnou city.
