Lily Luna Potter glanced over at the shadowy figure who had just materialised beside her.
"'Lo, Grandma Lily." Lily said, smiling over at the ghost of Lily Potter. Lily Potter waved and glanced over at Harry and Ginny, then back at the younger Lily.
"Ready for Hogwarts, Lil?" James Potter said in her ear, making Lily jump.
"Don't scare me like that!" Lily cried, turning to face her grandfather, who had materialised behind her. He grinned mischievously.
"Sorry, Lil. Once a Marauder, always a Marauder." He chuckled, reaching to ruffle her hair. Lily shivered. It felt like someone was pouring cold water over her hair. James laughed at Lily's expression, and turned to look at Harry and Ginny. The two were talking softly as they waited for the train to arrive.
"The Potter boys have always had a thing for redheads," James smirked, glancing over at his wife with a gleam in his eye. Lily Potter punched James, shaking her head.
"Ow! What was that for?" James cried, rubbing his arm.
Lily Luna laughed out loud watching the two interact, but quietened down when Harry turned to look at her. He raised a single eyebrow, but Lily Luna didn't bother trying to explain it. Harry would understand anyway. He knew she could see and talk to ghosts, as did Ginny and Lily L's godmother, Luna.
"Lily!" Ginny put her hand on the smaller girls shoulder, turning her around to face her family. "Look! The train!"
Lily L's smile grew as the crimson train pulled up towards platform nine and three-quarters. A squeal escaped her lips, and Ginny laughed. Hermione and Ron appeared beside them, with Hugo and Rose in tow.
"Hey guys!" Albus said, stepping towards Rose and Hugo. Lily gripped Hugo's hand excitedly, watching as the train came to a stop. Harry and Ron loaded their luggage, and then it was hugs.
"Write to us, Lil, okay?" Ginny said, gripping the girls hand tightly.
"'Course mum!" Lily said, hugging her mother tightly, then hugging her father too. He ruffled her hair, and let her get on the train. Lily grabbed Hugo's hand and the two went to find an empty compartment.
"Hey, Lil," Hugo nudged her. "What about in there?"
Lily turned to follow his line of vision, and caught sight of a boy and a girl sitting down in the compartment. The two looked identical, apart from the opposite genders.
"Hi," Lily said, stepping inside. "I'm Lily Luna, and this is Hugo. Mind if we sit down?"
The girl smiled, and nodded her head. "Sure. I'm Cleo, and this is my brother -"
"Charlie." the brunette boy interrupted, smiling widely.
"Nice to meet you both." Hugo said, taking a seat across from them. Lily glanced out through the window. The train had finally left the express, and they were zooming through country paths.
"So what house are you two hoping for?" Charlie asked.
"Gryffindor." Hugo said instantly.
Lily didn't answer as quickly. "I don't know. Maybe Slytherin, maybe Gryffindor. My brother is in Slytherin, so I really don't care."
"Personally I'm hoping for Ravenclaw." Cleo responded. "My dad told me so many stories about it."
"Who's your dad?" Lily asked curiously.
"Terry Boot." The siblings said together.
"Oh! My dad told me about him!" Lily cried. "He said Terry was a part of Dumbledore's' Army!"
