ch 1 the recruiting

Hello guy and girl this is my first RWBY fan fiction so I hope you like it

Ruby stepped off the plane and smiled. her ears press down against her head and tail in her pants leg. The hero of the world is back home in her home Town of Value with the other soldiers and their family waiting for them to come in. Formed up in their platoons, everyone is at the position of attention and the commander gave a salute to the platoon, with the salute back. "Company fallout!" Then they walked to their family and love one's, wives, children, brothers, sisters, ect. Cry and hugging, cheering, kissing, ect. Ruby looks around and thinks this is the best part of coming home, everyone is starting to leave and she till hasn't found Yang yet. She set her bags down just then she hears a voice coming behind her "What happened to that shy little red girl that got on that plane all those years ago?" Ruby turned about to say something mean, then turns around and look at her sister Yang. Ruby looked down at the ground then with a saddened smiled then look up "She grow up." Ruby said with sadness in her eyes while smiling and walked over to her sister and hugs her tightly with a tire coming out her eyes "You know you can let your ears and tail out now." Whispered Yang "Not if you want the world to flip out." Whispered back Ruby with her eyes closed then she opened them and see what behind Yang. she see zwei and her father their with uncle Qrow she let got of Yang she walkes over to them. her father hugs her tightly "We missed you little rose." will crying she hugs him back and he let's go. And turn to uncle Qrow. "did you miss me?" Ruby asked? In a childish way ".....Nope." Qrow said while grin on his face. Ruby smiled "I know you did." punching his arm Qrow smile's back. "Time to go home!" Yang yelled. All of them got into the car and when to Yang's apartment Ruby grab her bags and put them in the truck and zwei sites in the back with Qrow and Ruby and Yang's driving TaiYang in the passenger seat. "So is there something you want to do your for your first day back in Value?" Qrow asked will they driving to Yang's apartment. "No not really." Ruby said will she let her ears and tail out finally "Will good." Yang said she let go of the wheel and TaiYang grades wheel while Yang completely turned around talking to Ruby "Because I planned a big party for you." "Thanks Yang but I just want to rest to night." Ruby said tiredly "You sleep when you're die let's go party." Turning around to drive Said Yang they finally get to the apartment Yang opens the door and Ruby walks in and places her bags down. "I got nothing to wear that fancy." "It a bond fire not a five star restaurant and besides you still have some old close in the other room." said yang changing behind a door coming out 2 volume close. "Ok fine" said Ruby." But you're paying for the drink on the way there and back." she changed into her normal clothes also volume 2 close and a hat to cover her ears and wrapped her tail around her waste. "Ok Ruby." Said Yang qrow and their father standing their "What about us come to the party?" Asked their father "I don't care yo...." She cut off by Qrow "No, this is a good chance for you and Ruby to catch up on these last few years you don't need to old guy crapping your Style." Qrow said "ok?" Yang said "see you tomorrow." both of them left "ok Ruby time to raise so hell!"

At bond fire

"Yang are you sure?" "Yes Ruby now come on." It a party with soldiers and civilian and faunus have a good time "We are celebrating Ruby's coming back home after all these years!" yelled Yang "My big sister is buying everyone here a round!" Yelled Ruby "wait what?" asked Yang Everyone cheers, "So,how does it feel to be back?" Yang asked. Ruby didn't hear her she was sitting by the fire with some soldiers talking shooting the shit. Talking about deployment and all the stuff they seen and did have a good time "So how does it feel to be back?" Asked Yang "Feels good." said Ruby. Yang pours 2 shots, and hands one to Ruby she drink it then grades another glass and the bottle and pours it then stand up and looks around everyone watching and she says "This one is for the one that didn't make it home she throws it in the fire all the soldiers raised their cups in the air in silence for a moment of silence "Ok", Yang says, 2 hours later third bottle and a Half of whiskey later, Yang is out of it and says,"I guess Uncle Qrow gave you something after all". Ruby was about to say something when she hears a voice that she hasn't heard in a long time. " Ruby ?" Ruby turns around it Monty in a class A uniform, "Hey Red, how has it been?" Asked Monty "Alright, I guess." Said Ruby now she looks at Yang. This is my sister Yang. "What's up?.... Yang" said Monty. "Care to join us for some drinks?" Ruby asks. "No, I got to report to brass in the morning, and a hangover isn't the best way for me to get a promotion." " So, your taking my job now...good for you." "Do I hear sarcasm in there Ruby ?" " Not if you take a shot, you don't..." "Ok just one..." Monty says and 12 beer later. Ruby and Monty was going strong. Yang passed out on the ground cold. "Now tell me the real reason you are here." Sitting down in some chairs Ruby looking at Monty. "Can't I just drop by and say Hi to a old friend ?" Said Monty Ruby looks at Monty with are you serious face.."ok?" He put his beer down. They are putting together a team from all four kingdoms, and you being a past member of each kingdoms military. They want you to lead it. "And who approved this?"Ruby asked. "Everyone",said Monty. Ruby takes another shot. "What's the catch?"asked Ruby "There is no catch, the team is off the record, no rules, they give you the mission for the kingdoms, and you can choose which one you want to do." Ruby staring at her dog tags "I don't know." Said Ruby "Are you serious? this is a once in million chance in a military life time." "I don't want a repeat of Beacon, and I don't want another Salem running a round. And on that day Ruby looked up at Monty angry as hell, I don't want to talk about it. They sat there for a moment..... so are you in or out? 5 minutes go by "Ruby?!" Ruby looked at the passed out, Yang and sighed ...." I pick the people." "Done."" Who is the over seer?""Me and General Iron Wood." Ruby looked at her dog tag and remember all the friends she lost, and made, over the years. "Ok, but I need a car and traveling money." "Done."" and a certain person." "Done." "So whatever I ask for now. I get it?" Ruby looking at Monty. Monty frowned...we're done here, Ruby laughing, And when the team is ready, call me. You still know the number right ?" "Of course. What is it again ?" "Just go by airport." said Monty, as he walkes to his car. "Are you ok to drive?" asked Ruby "I am fine." he started Ruby looks closely and see 2 MP's in the front driver and passenger seats to drive him home. In the car Monty makes a call, "She is on board. Not to much stuff, she insisted she pick the team. Yes sir, over and out." He sinks down into the seat and thinks I need a raise. In the woods everyone is passed out or leaving Ruby pick up Yang throw her over her shoulder and put her in the back seat and drive her home. At Yang apartment she puts her to bed. She walkes to the window and think about all the things she did and the reason she left, and how they bring her back into it. "Well, I guess I tell Yang tommorow." she takes a shower and changes her clothes and goes to bed.

Time skip......

In the morning Ruby is up early and and made breakfast. Yang woke up with a major headache and vomiting everywhere she manages to get up and goes into the living room and sits at the coffee table. Ruby brings her a mix of different things and tells her to drink it. Yang looks at it and back at Ruby, "What the hell is that?"asked Yang Ruby responded," A little bit of everything, it will make you feel better." Yang staring at the drink, something green and lime green floating on top. Flat out "No!"comes out of Yang's mouth. "I will just deal with it." Yang said. "seriously!"said Ruby. "Quit being a baby and drink it! "Ruby said. The two locked eyes for a minute and Yang said," Fine, you drink one I will drink one.""Deal" Ruby said. Yang waited for Ruby to drink hers first. Yang tilted her head back plugged her nose and said, "If I die. I will haunt you." "They both drink it, and Ruby drinks it while looking out of the corner of her eye. She see's Yang about to barf every where,"Oh come on this nothing, I had to live on this stuff for months." after Yang finally get done stomach down the drink " Hay I need you to drive me to the airport." Ruby said, "Why you just got back." "I got my orders last night at the party." Yang looked upset. "Why ?" asked Yang "They want me to recruit and lead a team." Ruby said," So, you are here for 48 hours and that's all." Yang said, "Well it doesn't have to be bye, you could join if you want. It pays a lot more then a huntress does." Yang's eyes turn red. "Ok, fine, if you ever rethink about it give me a call." Ruby put her class A uniform on and a Bray to hide her ears then they both walk out of the apartment. Yang drove Ruby to the airport, she got out with her duffle bag and military backpack. "See you later sis." Yang got out of the car and walked to Ruby and hugs her and tells her "To come back safe." and hands her a picture of the both of them. Ruby rip's it. "What are you doing?" Yang yelled. Ruby hands her the half with her in it and keeps the one with Yang in it, adding it the collection of the picture of her friends and places she be to around the world. Yang sees a picture of the family they sent her last year of their father, Qrow, zwei and her. Monty watching everything yells for Ruby to get on the plane before takes off. "See you Yang." She runs to the B-17 and she and Monty disappeared through the door and the plane took off. Yang drive back to the apartment and opens the fridge and see it full of that weird drink Ruby forced her to drink and a note that says love Ruby Yang yells at the top of her lungs "RRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUBBBBBBBBBYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!"

PS if you made it here I am sorry about taking it off and on for about 2 days straight. My family found out I am doing a story and was like 4 year of English you better use it. I will get the next one out as quickly as possible, and again sorry.
