ch 2 The team

Ok sorry boys and girls for the wait. but here's ch 2 The team I hope you like it.

Ruby and Monty was sitting next to each other on the plane. Both in class A uniform they were going over names, in files, of who was approved to be on the team. "All these are General Ironwood's lap dogs !!" Ruby said "Well, what are you going to do about it then?" Monty asked "Monty, when have I ever followed the rules to the letter, besides, I have some others in mind that would do a far better job." Ruby said "Oh really. who?" he asked Ruby. Ruby pulled out her scroll and called up some old friends to meet at Mistral military base. They will be there in a hour. "So how not owned by General Ironwood ?" Ruby thinking to her self looking through the name of applicants ... Coco, Velvet, Fox,Yatsuhashi and another call. after that "oh no... Cardin." "Is their something wrong?" Monty asked ? Just some idiot that had to pay his way in to the military. All the money in the world can't buy skills or experience. I first met him on a mission. The mission was to sneak in and take out the target, but the idiot set off the alarm on the way into the compound. The bullets started flying, he and some other guy's were scared to death. Me and the other guy where stuck on a rock, and the other 4 soldiers were curled up in a ball crying. I, and the other guy, had to fight off the rest of the compound. I told the private to stay with them. I moved out, finished the mission, but it failed. He took off when the fire fight first started. "The best infiltrators my ass". Ruby said angrily "you talking out loud." Monty told her, "I don't care."said Ruby "So how do you think Ironwood is going to micromanage these?" Asked Monty "probably sneak some lackey's in at some point in time." "so who's next?" "Winter Schnee"said Ruby "She's pretty good, but I don't know if she will be on board with the team?" Asked Monty "I will ask her when we land at Mistral." Said Ruby "Who do you know she be at Mistral?" Asked Monty "You didn't think I just been sitting here do you? Give me little bit of time and there is nothing I can't do." "Give me a minute and I'll have a plan, give me 4 hours and will you get the idea." Said Ruby Monty just looked away and smiled "Yes, yes I get it. You are very scary." 4 hours later they land. Monty asked Ruby if she got the location of the person she considered. She said "yes," the the back door slowly opens as it did see could see the outlines of John Ark, Pyrrha, Nora and Ren are standing there. "Took you long enough to get here!" Nora said excitedly. Ruby smiled and said "Sorry long flights."
"So how has it been" Ruby asked John "ok"said John then asked her "How's the guy in the class A uniform?" Asked John "Oh that's Monty." Ruby said "He a good friend. We were in the same Squad in basic and in the same unit and before ops" she added. "Oh" John said "Nice to meet you." Pyrrha said "Thank you mrs.?" "Arc"said Pyrrha Ruby was shocked "You mean John finally asked you to marry him?!" Said Ruby happy and excitedly John blush. "No" Pyrrha said chuckling "She proposed to me." Said John looking ashamed Pyrrha put her hand on his shoulder to comfort him "So... Nora." Ruby trying to change the subject "How has you and Ren mercenary business going?" Asked Ruby "ok" Nora said "Mostly small time stuff for now." Ren said "Kidnapping, bodyguard, rescue the kidnapppies the protect shipping containers ect." Nora said "That good to hear." said Ruby "Where not the small Fry's you met that all those years ago." all four said with a major smiles on their faces. Ruby start thinking on how she meet them. John and Pyhrra while up a mission they ran into some grim that they were hunting down when they were top Hunter and huntress in Vale. And Ren and Nora their client was helping the military with some information he hired them for "Extra Protection." Ruby was just put on the list for ops this mission was her test to see if get put ops or sent back. "Oh how nice." Ruby turned with a anger and frustration in her silver eyes it was Cardin with General Ironwood walking towards them Ruby gave a salute with every one else. General Ironwood saluted them they drop their salute, IronWood asked "When will the rest get here?" "I don't know they're on their way now sir." Monty said. He looks at the one's here. "So we are putting our faith in a ex Hunter and ex Huntress, as well as two mercenaries". "They are a hell of a lot better than the gun's for hire, and baby killer, you have under your thumb, and if you have a problem with them. Then you can address it with me." Said Ruby. Looking straight forward, not backing down. Cardin walks in front of her "You shouldn't say such things to a superior officer." Ruby, pissed off at that comment, Monty sighed, dropped his head knowing they're is going to be a fight. Ruby turns her head slightly to the left and looks Cardin in the eyes, and said "When I find my superior officer I'll let you know until then you can fuck off you're the biggest joke here." With a smile Cardin getting upset at Ruby's comment, reaches for his pistol. Ruby, in a flash, put a knife inches away from Cardin's throat. Monty held Ruby forearm, so it doesn't get any closer, Cardin's hand now on the grip of his 9 mm. He doesn't move, a silence falls over the group, no one knows what is going to happen next. That's enough everyone, "Stand down" said Winter. while someone else walks behind her. A girl, the same age as Ruby, "teammate's shouldn't fight." said the girl "what"? Ruby glaring at her, and then the girl said nothing and looked way Monty then let go of her arm, Ruby sheathing her knife. She then angrily looked at Monty "Sorry but I am not going to prison for you because of a personal Vendetta." Said Monty "What ever." Ruby said Cardin hand's still on the grip pulls it out about to shoot Ruby the extra that was with Winter come up out of nowhere and took the pistol away and throw him over her shoulder pinning him the the ground about to break his arm just be for that. Winter tell her to stop. the long white hair girl rolled her eyes and got off of him still holding his arm Cardin yells at her "You fucking bitch." The girl about to finish what she started "Weiss!!!" Winter called she then let go and picked up the pistol and hands it to Ruby while handing the pistol Ruby look the girl up and down she does the same thing to Ruby, Ruby reaches for the pistol complete silence fill in between them then Ruby asked so how about teaming up with us"? "As much fun that sounds I'm not interested in your little cheerleading group". Ruby doesn't say anything and Weiss goes on "and on top of that why would I join a team of people how are under me." "I am the best Atlas has to offer so why should I." Asked the girl "To protect the people" said Ruby getting irritated "So the world can know peace for once!" "That just a fairy tail." said Weiss "You can't save everyone you should know that by now." "What does that mean?" Asked Ruby getting pissed "Time to go Weiss". Winter said leaving the group questioning who the girl was. Then the general pick up Cardin and said his farewell and a upset soldier right next to him as they walked to the med station. A hour later Ruby told Cardin he was on the team if he comes to the briefing room in 4 hour.

4 hours later....

Everyone finally arrived, and was sitting in the briefing room, "All right team, we have our very first mission, and it is a rescue mission, but we are not officially a team. Then Cardin walkes in, sits down, " Ok now that everyone is here we can get started." said Ruby. She was going over the mission, and some important details. Cardin turns his head to see who he was sitting next to. It was a bunny faunus, and stood up and yelled "Why is this animal in a mission briefing!" Ruby stop's in the middle of the briefing and asked "What is the matter mister Cardin." "This faunus!" he said "and what is wrong with Ms.Velvet?" Trying to be professional as possible at the moment. He says as loudly as he possible could. "Since when did animal earn the right to be a part of military special forces!?" Velvet lower her ears then lowered her head Ruby a about to jump across the desk to strangle Cardin but Coco Velvet team leader beat her to it. Coco grabbing Cardin by the throat Coco not showing any reason to let Cardin go. Cardin started turning blue "Coco." Ruby said she still as a hold on him "Coco." Said Ruby Cardin's eyes about to glaze over COCO! yelled Ruby "Coco?" Asked Velvet. Coco turns to see Velvet with a worried look on her face. Coco then look at Ruby and Ruby nodded then she lets him drop to the floor then she sits next to Velvet and kicks Cardin's chair against the wall across the room and whispers "Don't worrie about him." "Like I was saying before we were interrupted are not officially a team but we are going to get more member one of the them is a Faunus! Is that ok mister Cardin?" Ruby asked sarcasticly Cardin laying on his back holding his neck breathing heavily, coughing turning back to normal. John ask what is she to you "She is....." She paused "A former team members and my best friend for many years,she.... she my sister." Said Ruby "She is being hold in a white fang base." "And after she is extract we head to a valley where it connects to a river we will head down stream where 2 helos will bring us back to home base and these place is armed to the teeth already, and the leader of the white fang Adam Tourist is going to be coming by to inspect the base him self so stay on guard. He is second priority in these the primary objective of this mission is to get your new teammate got it." "Now go get you gear ready to fall out to the air craft." they head to the armory and grab there weapon stepping on or over Cardin." everyone left besides Ruby now standing over him he looks down "Listen here private I don't know what you have a against faunus but you need to unfuck your self. I don't care if you black or white or faunus and it doesn't matter to me if you're male or female this is a team. doesn't matter how much we hate it but we are. so go no board or get the fuck out of the way, because there 2 ways you leave and this team and this goes for everyone here one# In a body bag with your kingdoms flag over it #2 higher ups or the group leader decides you are no longer fit for military service and if you can stand the you more than qualified in my books." "Now pay attention Mr.Cardin because you are in the same boat as the rest of us, we are a team now. That means we are a family, we laugh and cry, and fight. But in the end we're there for each other." She reached out her hand to him, "ok, fine." Cardin said. Then went to get his gear. Ruby walked in her room and grab her rifle off the wall that was 308 AR semi automatic with a 9 X 40 scope, and iron sights, on the side for close range. The clips held 30 round, and the two Glocks. She has one under the pillow, the other one the night stand, both semi automatic and full auto, then she turned her head to see a box that with the words Crescent Rose in engraved on it. Then she turned her head and said out loud, "Never again."

Hey, the next one will post Sunday, got a schedule done. I work during the weekday, write and post either Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I think I am more excited on the schedule I made than chapter 3.
