Chapter 4. The Begining of the Battle

I have never been outside the castle walls, my father had been uptight and kept me in them for my safety. Though I have trained to protect myself, I still don’t know what creatures lay in my path. Hibiscus was to my right down a rich forest path, the blanket laid down on his back seemed to do quite the job of keeping him warm from the bitter old. Since he seemed peaceful and ready for the adventure ahead. Time passed on and I still see no sign of the library,  I had to find who I was in ancient scriptures of the towns ancient library, in the castle I read a scripture that explained why we saw those with long pointed ears and long luscious locks, plus random events of ‘paranormal’ activity. They were ones that conjured the other elements, Fire, Water, and Air. Those who conjured Fire had long indestructible hair that seemingly could not be cut, the Water had long pointed ears that grant them their power, and the Air could become invisible, and in the times of danger they would be for 6 straight hours unable to control it. Just as I was about to continue my thoughts, Hibiscus started to growl.

“Princess get behind me” his once smooth voice was now dark and deadly. I did not question him and did as he said. The hairs of his back were now standing tall, and just like that a fast brown blurr engulfed my partner, a slight scream escaped my throat. An enormous Brown Bear held Hibiscus down by his throat, standing a good 4 feet taller than my 6 foot partner...
