As I was about to draw my sword my feet were swept from beneath me, while landing straight on my back I noticed the snow compacted by semi-large footsteps, obviously not my own. Thinking of a way to get out of the mess, a bright red liquid stained the snow, streaming from the heat of the body it was in. Looking over my shoulder in worry I see Hibiscus tearing into the flesh of the unknown bear, his pitch black eyes were now red, an unsuitable color for his form.
“Bjorn!” A worried unknown deep voice had made its way into my ears, and it seemed so close but I did not see any persona.
“An Air Conjurer” Hibiscus whispered underneath his breath. Just then an angry growl came from the what I assumed was a man. Just as I thought the battle would not continue since the damages done to his bear, an strong gust of wind blew me straight into the back of a tree. Knowing of the powers I possess I try making the roots of the tree go his way. I counted 1. 2. 3 Nothing happened. I tried once more, and again, the man just laughed.
“Haha so you are the last earth conjurer my people have told me about” His accent was one I have never heard before, a strange lisp was hanged on after every word.
“Who are you” I heaved, the force of the wind never stopped.
“I am Gust Van Heaven, the rightful servant of her majesty”. I paused my struggle as soon as those words came out of his mouth, rage striked within me. He works for her, the one who killed not only my people but my father. Fighting with all my might I was able to lift my hand.
“You think you have the right to beat me” I continued “ I’ll have you hanging on my castle walls, a root struck between your heart” I spoke out of indignation, I could not forgive what she has done, and now I cannot forgive the trouble he has caused me, and the time lost that I could be in the library.
“I do have the right to beat you, Princess” He mocked me, he heard Hibiscus, when he called me the name that sounded so foreign on his tongue, due to the accent he had.
“Hibiscus, how do I control my powers” the wind limited my duration of time to speak.
“I do not” he pauses taking another strike at the infuriated bear “Know princess that is something you will have to figure out on your own”. His words shocked me how was I going to defeat an Air Bender or the empress without any control of my powers. The feeling of failure washed over me like the salty waters of the fjord. I was helpless. I have failed my people and only into the first day of this journey. But I will not give up, if I was taught anything from my father it was not to give up on things you believe you can do. Outraged I fought with all the might I could muster, taking struggled steps towards the heavy footprint in the snow. I could not forgive the man that has taken my precious time and energy, on what it seemed like a silly act of murder.
“So this is what you do, go around killing my people” I bellowed. “I am princess Cecillia Rose Eldagar the daughter of the King of Norlandia, and I will never forgive you for what you have done” just as I finished my sentence he cackled.
“I do not do this for fun, she has ordered me and I will forever fall under her command” He howls then out of nowhere I see the glimpse of light gray hair with a simple white streak, it was slicked back, ending at the outstretched jaw line, a well sculpted man standing at roughly 6 foot 4 hovered over my form. It was like a titan meeting a baby, A short 5 foot girl against a tall 6 foot man. Frightened I take a step back, but with my luck I was once again thrown into the back of the tree, my lungs being ripped of air. Within the process Gust took long strides towards my form.
“A petty sight if I say” he took his fisted hand and punched me across the face. The stinging pain caused a tear to form at the corner of my eye. He throwed a kick striking me in the ribs, then another punch is thrown that time drawing blood. Losing my vision and my Katana I saw Hibiscus let go of the bear and trample Gust. I have failed. Just as I was about to fall unconscious long ombre hair of bright yellows and oranges with a hint of black and red strides towards Gust who is now fighting along side of his bear against Hibiscus. My vision went blurry once again, this figure was now assisting Hibiscus. Clashes of fire and wind brighten my blurry gaze, as black consumed the rest of it...
