BIOGRAPHY COMING TO LIFE

it's september twentieth, eight pm. anna went into her apartment with disappointment, embarrassment, sorrow sewn into her body. she never knew how much a confession to her own so-called friend could hurt.

the night anna confessed, karina tried all her best to reject her nicely as possible. anna was a bit upset but accepted the reality. she only hoped that karina wouldn't act too different after the confession. but her hopes did not go too well.

karina practically brushed her off. anna was more than hurt. what has she done that made karina want to disassociate herself with her? have feelings? that'd be a low. anna believed that her friend couldn't have gotten that low. she was fine with accepting the reality of rejection but she couldn't tolerate the reality of denial.

anna grabbed her phone from her jacket and stared at the lockscreen. she went into the notes app and stared at the last note from that folder: the confession.

her eyes started stinging with tears: remembering how excited she was, how anxious she was, how much she brought her own hopes up.

as she stared at the note, she said her thoughts out loud.

"what have you ever done for me, 'e-diary'? why did i even make a folder just for you? you haven't done any good for me. you barely surpressed my boredom. now you made me scare off my friend. thanks a lot.."

anna brought herself to a level of denial. not being able to process whose fault it is; blaming it on her own phone. her mind was too fogged that she mindlessly took out her disappointment and anger onto a phone.
