If there's one thing I really want to be in life, then it's to be a lyricist. I was 8 when I realized I have a huge thing for music and poetry. My dad helped me discover this talent as we would collaborate together in making music; I'll be the one writing the words and he'll play a random tune on his guitar. Growing up, we would spend our Sunday mornings jamming to 80s band in our small living room; my mom would also sing along with us while she makes the breakfast.

I was 10 when my dad first helped me play my very first instrument: the guitar. Of course, he's very good at it; he used to play for a small band in town and finds time in making music whenever he's on his rest day from work. He would teach me play during the weekends or on a weekday evening he's not too tired from work.

I cannot say I do not miss writing and playing music, but it's a passion I locked inside a vault which password's long forgotten. Nobody except my parents know that I can play, plus I never really had the chance to show it to anyone else, since incidents happened.

I'm honestly getting scared that I may start reviving my fondness for making music now that I'm spending most of my time with the band. A lot of this are happening and I'm having hard time dealing with the stress they're causing me. And music and writing... it's a therapy yet a sharp needle at the same time. I can't... I just can't. It's going to bring back past memories I'm trying to forget.

But for now, I have to deal with my present's complications.

"Hello?"

I was brought back to reality; I'm still at the rooftop, and it's getting dark soon. Someone opened the door, making me feel surprised a bit.

It was none other than Aleisha McDonalds herself.

"H-hi." I stuttered.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know anyone's still around." She gave me a small smile.

"No, it's okay." I waved both of my hands in front of me. "I'm about to leave, anyway."

"I'm Aleisha, by the way." She held out her hand for me to shake.

"I'm Denisse," I said while shaking her hand. Her hands are soft, plus she's actually prettier this up close.

No wonder, Luke's madly in love with her.

"I'm new here," she started, "uhm, would it be alright if I ask you to show me around the campus tomorrow?" she asked sheepishly.

I'm a bit surprised about it. "Oh, yeah. You were in my homeroom class this morning." I said, smiling a little. "Uhm, it's okay?"

She laughed and touched my right arm. "Thank you, Denisse!"

"No problem." Never in my whole life I'd expect I will be "friends" with my "boyfriend's" ex.

I know it's such a bad thing but I thought Aleisha's the bitchy type of girl but I was wrong. She's soft and kindhearted and it makes me think again why they broke up.

Our conversation was cut off when we heard the door opened. I jumped a little thinking it was a school staff.
