Chapter 7

When we got on to our ship, muli silang pumunta sa kanya kanyang room nila to rest.

Pumunta ako sa kitchen, im craving for ice cream.

Ang swerte ko ata ngayon, iisa nalang when I checked the ref and it's pistachio flavored.

I sat on the chair sa deck ng ship while eating and looking up at the sky.

Sobrang ganda, it has been a while since I have been able to do this. Normally tulog ako while on the ship. But now, gusto ko lang pagmasdan yung mga bituin.

"Renee"

Idinilat ko mga mata ko nung narinig ko yun. Nakita ko si Ace sa harap.

Kelan pa ako tulog?

"O-oh Ace?"

"Your ice cream has melted."

Well, totoo nga. Ano ba yan sayang yung ice cream eh.

"Well, yes." I sighed

Curious, I asked him

"K-kelan pa ako tulog?"

"For an hour already."

"Since when were you here?"

"Ever since we departed."

"S-so you were here too when I came here?"

"Yes."

Bakit di ko siya napansin? Kia naman!

"Normally you would be sleeping. I wonder why you were up?"

"Uhm, probably because what happened is hard for me to believe. And... I was craving for ice cream."

Tumango siya tsaka umalis. Uhm, okay?

I opened my phone to check the time and it's 5:20 am. Anytime soon the sun will rise.

Bumalik siya hawak hawak ang isang pack of ice cream.

"Here, I thought I might give you this. As a token for your win."

"T-thank you. Pero I took the last one, how come you have more?"

"I brought some from our quarter."

"Ah okay."

*silence*

Think Kia, ano ba magandang pag usapan?

"Say, do you always look peaceful when you sleep?" Tanong ni Ace.

Hindi ko alam ba't nya natanong, maybe he looked at me while I was asleep?

"I-I don't know. Minsan tumutulo laway ko."

He laughed for a split second.

Sana 'di ko nalang sinabi yun nakakahiya naman pala hay

"You looked cute."

Mag papasalamat ba ako? Baka sabihin ang confident ko naman. Paano ba sumagot sa compliments?

Smile?

I looked at him and smiled.

He smiled back.

"I'll prepare for our arrival. You probably should too, there are 4 marine ships docked in the island."

And then, he left.

He too, is cute.
