Nova
I nod to the fence and take off. She follows behind and I leap swiftly over the tall pickets. I wait for Esta and hear the ground thud a few times, she must be having trouble. I smirk, I'm super agile. I guess it pays off to be just that little bit smaller than her. I stick my muzzle through the small gap in the fence.
"Hurry up!" I bark
"Yeah, yeah, I'm trying." She responds aggressively and gives another jump. She makes it and tumbles to the ground.
"Ow."
I chuckle and start walking off. Lyra's probably long gone. She gets up and we both run for the road. We cross quickly and safely and run into the woods on the opposite side. I walk swiftly through the greenery, careful to make no sound, when I hear a rustle to my left. Esta, who's behind me, must've heard it too because she stops. I motion with my head for her to take one side of the bush and I'll take the other, so we corner our victim. She runs into the thicket and I run parallel, ensuing the chase. Whoever is there runs off and it now sounds like two of them. I hear Esta skidding and thudding to the ground, she might've lost her balance. I catch a glimpse of a small, brown tail. April. I pick up my pace and pounce on her, then play-tackle her to the ground. She giggles uncontrollably, rolling on the ground.
"Gotcha!" I say, laughing myself.
"Hehe, ok, who do we have to catch now? Besides James." She asks, getting to her feet and shaking her fur free of dirt and dried leaves.
"Lyra. And then we win. But we gotta be quick, time's almost up." I respond, beginning to move forward. She follows me. I howl and receive 3 others from various places. April gives a small howl and we both run off in search for Lyra and James.
