THE LIMOUSINE PARKED before the laid out red carpet trailing towards the tall white pillars of the entrance's staircase as photographers flash their cameras every once in a while whenever a person arrives. Loud chatter thrown from side to side, clashing with the sound of continuous clicking as someone poses in the middle. Elite families standing with a microphone shoved in their faces as journalists ask them the same questions they hear every time.
What happened on the dark roads of the highway was now long forgotten as Luna smiled at the sight. Her eyes sparkling as the flickers of lights reflected on them. For a person who was hidden away from the public, Luna sure did love attention.
Namjoon stepped out of the vehicle to assist the two ladies and opened the limousine's door. Heoffered his hand to Luna and escorted her out of the limo like a real gentleman would. In an instant, the cameras faced their way and everyone was snapping photos. Luna noticed how some were directed at Namjoon. There were also several ladies and gentlemen who have just recently arrived gawking at their direction. A bubble of pride rose inside Luna as she flashed them a winning smile. After all, that charming man is her and hers only butler.
"How sweet." Luna complimented Namjoon when he walked her gently a few inches across the carpet which he gladly accepted and responded with a wink.
Walking back towards the limo, he reached out for Hera's hand this time and Luna bet that Hera's heart was fleeting with joy. And Luna felt relaxed seeing the genuine smile on Hera's face.
Linking arms with Hera, together the pair walked gracefully towards the entrance of the hall after posing for a few photos. This wasn't like them. They were beautiful yet reckless and all, but being proper girls? They weren't like that at all. But for the sake of their reputations, their elegance was needed and they had to fake it.
Gentle classical music greeted their ears played by the orchestra playing on the stage. It was melliflous and gave a light atmosphere. All of the marvelous golden crystal chandeliers were lit open shining upon the smooth marbled floor. In the middle of the ballroom were couples dancing along the music, albeit the presence of windows, the cold wind danced along them. In the corners were business men who formed a small group to boast about their successions and wealth in life, on the side there where ladies who gossip about the men from the opposite side stood with their jewelries filled with huge gems and stones.
Hera leaned closer to Luna. "So when does the after party start?" She asked.
"Around the nine o'clock."
"Can't wait. This is boring." Hera rolled her eyes at the sight.
A snicker left Luna's lips. "Finally something we both agree on."
