Chapter 5

"So he really did that?" Andrea asked for the millionth time

"Yes he did, I can show you the video, the tweet, his profile, and the messages again"

"Just give me your phone" she said

I hesitated for a moment before handing her it. Im really picky about people being on my phone, even my best friend. I'm just gonna have to watch to see what she does.

"Would you stop breathing over my shoulder? Im not gonna do anything I'm just looking at these I swear " she laughed. I raised my eyebrows, "Promise?" "Promise, I won't do anything and if I want to then I'll tell you" she stuck her pinky out, I sighed, "Okay.." I locked my pinky with hers before grabbing a marshmallow.

"Can I have one?" She asked looking up.

"Yeah, get off your lazy butt and make one" I joked

"But you make yours perfectly toasted and soo good, you know I always end up catching mine on fire, to where I try to put it out by shaking it and it ends up flying off and catching the garden on fire" she explained what happened about the last 4 times she came over and made one.

"Yeah I don't think my dad will be too happy to see you burnt another one of his gardens down"

"And that's why you should make me one"

"Or you could just starve while I devour the beauty"

"Pleaseeeeeeee"

"Fine ill make you one, but you owe me"

"How about a date with Dillon?"

I looked up from putting the marshmallows on the sticks, I looked back down and laughed, "Yeah like that would ever happen"

"Well I do have his number, and it is the first day of summer, which if he blows you off then you have 2 and a half months for him to forget about it, not saying he won't say yes" she said smirking.

I sighed, "Okay fine. whatever. Are you finished looking at everything now?"

Her eyes widened, "Oh! Yeah! Sorry, I'll get to that.. WAIT! What if Dillon says yes but then Ross wants to date you then what? Oh my gosh, if that happens can I have Ross?"

"Andrea, that's not gonna happen, I don't even think Dillion will say yes, and I highly doubt Ross will want to date me, and if that does happen, no you cannot have Ross! You can have Dillion." I laughed.

I finished with the s'mores and gave Andrea hers, she gave me my phone back while we devoured our s'mores.

"Wanna go night swimming?" I asked.

"Nicole it's like midnight"

"So doesn't matter, we have our bathing suits on under our clothes, my pool is right there, we have a deck light, the water is 90°, first swim of the summer, so why not?" I replied getting up and take my clothes off leaving my bikini on.

Andrea sighed, "Nicole I swear sometimes you are the weirdest person"

"And all times you are" I replied, running up and jumping in the pool. She followed behind and jumped in. "Hey didn't you get that GoPro a few days ago?" she asked.

"Yeah! I did! Shoot I could've used that at the concert so I didn't have to worry about my phone dying! Man I'm so stupid!" Seriously how many times can I mess up and regret that whole concert experience? I seriously have the worst luck..

"Why don't you get it and we can use it for underwater footage"

"Andrea it's midnight, which means its dark out, you wouldn't be able to see anything"

"Ohhh right" She is so stupid at times I swear, but she's my best friend, so we have these blonde moments together.

~~~next day~~~~

"Sooo Nicole how about texting Dillion hmm" Andrea said wiggling her eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever.. But what are we gonna say?"

"Just go along with it" she said pulling out her phone and texting him

A: Hey! So I'm at Nicole's house and we're bored and need someone to FaceTime :( Wanna FaceTime us? :)

D: Yeah sure, I was actually a bit bored myself

A: Awesome! :)

"Andrea what are you up to.."

"Shh just go along and be yourself, don't try to hard because I know you, you try hard to impress them and end up acting like a fool"

"Well that's real nice.. But yeah I get what you mean I guess.."

She pressed FaceTime and he answered it on the 3rd ring.

"Hey! What's up Dillion?" Andrea said, she was more better at social situations than I was, I guess you could say.

"Nothing much really, just bored on the second day of summer, bit of a bummer" he laughed. He's so cute oh my gosh.. "Oh and this is Nicole" I snapped out of my thoughts after hearing my name. "Wha?" I said confused. Dillion laughed, "Yeah I know, I talked to her before, what's up Nicole?"

I was still confused but responded anyway, "Nothing really, just wondering what Andrea said about me" I gave her a look. "Nothing! I just introduced you, did you not hear?"

"No.. sorry I was in thought again"

She rolled her eyes, "Well now that your back to reality and not in Rylandia, we're in a middle of a FaceTime remember?"

"Rylandia?" Dillion interrupted laughing.

"Yeah it's sort of an inside joke" I chuckled, "so how's your summer so far?" Nice Nicole, way to be nosey. It's only the second day of summer too.. Ain't I awkward.

He laughed, "Pretty boring, spent most of yesterday catching up on sleep, and today I really just got nothing to do, how bout yours?"

"Great" Andrea said.

I smiled, "Pretty awesome, I have a lot to say but I don't wanna bore you by talking about it"

"Go ahead, I don't think I could be as bored as I already am" he looked pretty interested. Wait a minute, a guy, interested in what I have to say?! Especially Dillion, oh my gosh this is a miracle.

"Okay well let me start off by, I got to meet my idols and see them in concert, who is R5. Then I DM'd Ross Lynch, the member of the band- "

"I know who R5 is" he laughed, cutting me off.

"Seriously? That's awesome. Anyway, I DM'd Ross on Instagram a collage of the concert and he saw it, liked, and commented on it something amazing, then he retweeted a picture I tweeted of us hugging, and me and Andrea had the best time yesterday, and were planning on doing something today, wanna come over so your summer won't be as boring?" I smiled.

Oh my gosh. Did I just get the confidence to do that? Did I seriously just invite him to come to my house? What has gotten into me..
