New Beginning

Chapter 5

Erika's POV

After they were done with my test I had to go for a little walk around the hospital.

The doctors told me that it would be a daily thing for me cause they say that I need to walk around for a while.

I past a room and heard talking coming from inside.

I looked inside and saw a little boy and his mother.

"Mummy am I gonna be okay?" He asked. "Of corse you are sweetie don't worry about it." She said stroking his cheek.

I looked at the little clipboard by the door. It said, Jacob Thompson, 5 years old, kidney transplant, brain cancer.

My eyes started to water. This little boy must be really scared right now.

I went down to the cafeteria and took a little white teddy bear that they were giving out and went back to my room.

I wrote on a piece of paper to the little boy saying.

"Dear Jacob,

I'm giving you this teddy bear because you are this brave little boy and you remind me of my son James.

My name is Erika Horan and I have cancer also and I'm telling you that you are gonna get through it like I am.

I will visit you once every week to see how your doing.

Sincerely,
Erika Horan "

I put the letter in an envelope and put it in the collar of the bears little collar.

I went back to the little boys room and saw that he was sleeping and his mother was gone.

I walked over to his bed and put the bear next to him.

I walked out if the room and went back to mine so I could rest for a while.

I just sat on my bed looking at the ceiling just looking at how white it is.

I looked at all the little patterns for reason I see patterns on the ceiling.

I dozed off real quick without even noticing cause next thing I know I see Niall and the kids in the room.

"Mummies up." They said almost yelling, you could hear a little Irish and British in their voices.

They came screaming on the bed struggling to get to me so they could have a hug.

Niall helped them up and I was attacked by hugs even Niall came into the hug.

"How are you feeling?" He asked. "I'm feeling fine right now." I told him.

I got up and my leg started to hurt and I fell into Niall's arms cause I hurt so bad that I couldn't even stand.

"Umm the doctors wanted me to tell you that you can't walk around for a while cause there is something wrong with your leg." He told me putting me into a wheel chair.

"Well that sucks I can't even walk now." I said. Rachel and James wanted on my lap.

I picked them up and put them on my lap. "Niall can you take us to room 308 cause I need to show you guys some one." I said.

Niall took us to the room it took a while cause He was messing around with the children by pretending that he was a race car driver.

We got to the little boys room and went in.

The little boy was up and reading his note I have him.

"Who are you?" His strong British accent came out. "Ummm I'm the girl that sent you that letter." I told him.

"Oh thanks for the teddy bear I never really had one." I said smiling.

"Oh and this is my family." I said looking at them. "why don't you guys introduce your selfs to him." I told Rachel and James.

They did what I said and me and Niall started a conversation with the mother that I didn't even see when I came in.
