Appearance; Iris is around 5'0/5'1 in height and has a slender body. Iris has ocean blue hair that reaches down to her middle back and teal eyes. On each side of her neck are gills that go from below her ears to her collarbone. In U.A, she wears the normal school uniform. Her hero suit is a one piece latex suit. The arms and legs are black while the body is multi colored blues. Sticking out from the back is a rubber dorsal fin that can help her move more swiftly in the water. Her casual outfit is a pastel blue v-neck, black leggings, and dark blue sneakers.

Personality; Since Iris was a child, she was extremely shy. Because of this, she had no friends during elementary school and was bullied a lot. During middle school, she began to come out of her shell enough to talk to others, make some friends, and participate in class. She is less shy now in U.A but still scared to initiate conversations/friendships. While she may not talk much, she is very kind and is always putting others before herself (for better or worse). With some coaxing, she can open up more and be more outspoken. Iris becomes flustered quite easily and usually hides her face with her hands or hair. While battling and training, Iris can be especially determined and will do her best.

Quirk; Aqua Boost- Iris' quirk allows her to absorb water from nearby sources and uses it to boost her speed. In the water, she can go as fast enough to create whirlpools and riptides.
In order for this to work, she must be directly touching the water source. In extreme situations, she can use the water that's already in her body but it can make her severely dehydrated and prone to passing out and suffering fatal consequences.
Another use is she can filter air through her gills, allowing her to stay underwater for up to 15 minutes.
Later on, her quirk will be adapted through training (at both the Training Camp and before the Provisional License Exam) to expel the water by shooting it out from her hands. This will lower her speed and agility however.

Backstory; Iris grew up both hating and admiring her father. She admired him for being a hero and protecting others but hated him because he was never around for most of her childhood. He wasn't there to watch her graduate from Middle School, to watch her older sister finish high school, or when their mother died from an incurable illness. Iris transferred to U.A from a prestigious school in the West because she was being bullied. She got into U.A shortly after they began school and was placed as an addition to class 1-A. During the attack on the USJ, she was placed in the fire zone with Ojiro and escaped with only a minor burn on her left foot.
