Please take note that Shelly is now named Sandile.

On Tuesday while walking to a class

"Juliet," I heard Johanika scream.

"Yes?" I asked her.

"Juliet!Juliet! Juliet! Juliet!" Johanika said loudly as always, Johanika was one of the loudest girls in our class.

"What?!" I asked getting agitated.

"Ek hou tandepasta," Johanika said in Afrikaans, fluently. (Translation: I like toothpaste.)

Johanika and I both laughed. I am English but I can understand Afrikaans and a bit of Zulu.

On Wednesday morning in the morning break

"Hey Nandi!" I say as I greet my friend with a fist bump.

"Hi Juliet," Nandi said.

"Why have you got toothpaste in your hand?" I asked, thinking that Nandi might have forgotten to brush her teeth.

"Oops. I did brush my teeth! I promise, I did!" Nandi said. "Though, I don't know why I have got the toothpaste with me..."

"Okay..." I said.

On Wednesday morning in English

So I sit in the back in English because the boys were moved to the front due to being naughty. So I was in the front but said we must go to the back of the class. I sit next to Mabelle who is on my left  and Sandile on my right and next to Mabelle is Nandi who still has her Colgate toothpaste.

Mabelle leaned over to me and said,"Nandi said she is going to give me a bit of her toothpaste."

I just smiled and thought to myself," People seem to have a fascination with toothpaste."
