Cherryfeather's heart was beating at a hundred miles an hour. She couldn't find Tigerstorm, the only place she hadn't looks... behind the warriors den! She ran at the speed of light, and then she saw him.. his body.
"No!" Cherryfeather flung herself down beside him, sobbing.
"Ch-Cherryfeather?" she heard him croak.
"You're alive? Tigerstorm! I-I'm sorry.. I love you." Cherryfeather closed her eyes, tears falling.
"I-I love you too," Tigerstorm mewed, snuggling up with Cherryfeather. She felt him cough weakly.
"No! Tigerstorm!" she yelled, feeling his breaths come more slow and weak. The smoke around them was thickening. I will die here, but I will die with my one true love, and we shall live on, together, forever. She thought contently, feeling her own breathing weaken, and the smoke filling in.
"Goodbye," she whispered weakly, feeling the smoke closing in, she smiled half-heartedly before falling back into eternal darkness...**********
She awoke, shaking and coughing.
"Where am I.." she spluttered to herself, opening her eyes to a strange, straggly den, where vines, sticks, moss, brambles and other materials were sticking out in the walls, and the celing wasn't patched up properly. She looked in through one of the holes and saw that she was in a completely different place. She noticed that around half the Clan were rebuilding dens. She assumed the other half were out hunting or gathering materials. She panted, finding that she couldn't breathe properly, she angrily swallowed and tried again to breathe deeply, but again, she couldn't. She started panicking a little, making her more out of breath, now she couldn't breathe at all. She gasped for air, but she couldn't seem to get any. She desperately needed to breathe, the only reason she couldn't was because she was panicking about it, but as she struggled to breathe, she panicked more, making it more impossible for air to reach her lungs. She didn't dare call anyone, afraid of loosing what little air she had left. Why isn't Tigerstorm here?! she panicked more. And why am I here? And why can't I breathe! Just then, she saw Frogwhisker come in, when he saw her, he dropped the herbs he had had in his mouth and ran right back out. She smiled to herself despite knowing she might suffocate. Yeah.. but so what? I want to see Tigerstorm again.. what if I just enjoy the last moments of my life? Yeah, lets do that. She jumped up and happily bounded out, not even realising that now, since she wasn't panicking anymore, that she could breathe more easy.
"Ch-Cherryfeather! I-I can't believe you're out! How?" spluttered Lynxfur, coming over to where she was standing.
"Hi, I decided I'm going to go and have some fun. I'm going to run across the moors, just like Marshwillow, Tigerstorm and I used to do as apprentices." she had tears in her eyes, but she was smiling.
"You-You can't!" Lynxfur looked extremely shocked.
"Whose stopping me?" she smirked despite the tears.
"Me," mewed a firm voice, she saw Archstar standing there blocking the entrance.
"Oh really?" she purred, still smirking. She walked over to him calmly, before concentrating expertly on him. She knew she would never fight him, she didn't want to fight anyone in her life again after how much pain it had caused her. Then, she sprang, she managed to do a twirl in mid air, while Archstar leapt up, trying to catch her. She smirked again, seeing she had succeeded. As soon as she was out, she ran as fast as she could, while Archstar chased from behind, trying to catch up, and he was succeeding, she felt very out of breath and she felt her lungs working extremely hard to keep air in them. No, not now! she thought angrily. I don't want that to happen now! She ran faster, feeling that she couldn't breathe anymore. Oh well. She narrowed her eyes, held her breath and kept running. She suddenly realised she was running towards the ThunderClan border, and there was a patrol on the wrong side. She growled and swerved towards them and started a fight. Not being able to breathe, instead of making her worse at fighting, it made her better, being extremely angry that she couldn't breathe. She was using moves she hadn't even used before. She wasn't really attacking them, just making it so they couldn't attack her. Eventually, they started fleeing. She smiled at Archstar before running off again. She knew she couldn't hold her breath much longer, but she wouldn't even be able to breathe even if she tried. She continued running, Archstar running in the opposite direction, probably heading for camp. Hmm, where will I go? She wondered, deciding finally upon running out of Clan territory. Why not? But then she saw Marshwillow running towards her with tears in her eyes, that was when she stopped. What's wrong? Are you okay?
"Please Cherryfeather, don't do this," she mewed. Cherryfeather tried to speak, but she couldn't. That was when she started panicking.
"Can't- B-Breathe!" she spluttered. Marshwillow's eyes widened and she ran towards her, fear glistening in her eyes.
"Tell- Tigerstorm-" She couldn't finish her sentence.
"Tigerstorm's... he's dead, Cherryfeather."
That was when Cherryfeather fainted, out of the shock that Tigerstorm was dead, and also not being able to breathe. Everything went black...
