I stretched slowly and gently, loosening my stiff structure. A brief breeze blew over me, giving me a chill, I reached for my blanket to find that is that it was gone. I kept feeling around, what I had thought to be my bed was now soft and wet. I took a deep breath in to find that the familiar smell of pumpkin and parchment had also vanished, and was replaced with the smell of fresh rain, dirt, and oak. I opened my eyes to discover that I was no longer in my bed room, I was laying on a fresh blanket of grass looking up at a canopy of tall trees. Rising from my spot I took a walk through this strange place. The golden sunlight shown through the branches of the tall trees, illuminating this beautiful forest. It seemed oddly familiar; like I had been here before. Suddenly all became dark and eerie. This once beautiful sight became ghostly and frightening. I no longer wanted to be here, I needed to get out for fear of what could happen.
"CRACK!"
The snap of a twig broke the silence. I froze in place, there was something out there.
"CRACK CRACK!"
Two more snaps were heard. What was I to do but run? My feet took off in a flash, it was almost as if I was flying, I barely touched the ground. Whatever it was, it was after me now. I could hear the sound of it's feet thundering against the forest floor. It was getting closer. My foot was then caught by an exposed branch. The ground met me in a matter of seconds, biting into my hands and knees. I knew what was going to happen next, I quickly placed my arms in front of me as a shield getting ready for the blow. Nothing happened, though. I was left unharmed. I picked myself and dusted the blood and dirt off of my knees. Why wasn't I attacked?
"Strange..."
I looked to my hands and knees. Their scraped up and bloody forms shocked me. I turned my head to look at the harmful root, it wasn't there. I looked back to myself to find that I was now unscathed; it was like it never happened.
"What is happening to me? Am I going crazy?" I stated aloud.
"AAAAAHHHHHCK!!!"
A pain filled scream interrupted me, making me stand up straight. I don't know why but I was drawn to it. I ran to the direction that the scream was coming from. I was led to a broken down house, it looked like some sort of haunted house from a story book.
"CRASH!" The sound of furniture being pushed around was heard.
I was frightened. Yet I was still being drawn to this house. The noise continued as I walked through the door and climbed up the stairs. I then came to a tattered door, in which the paint had chipped off long ago and replaced with long claw marks. I grabbed the door knob and turned it until there was a loud click. Taking in a deep and shaky breath I pushed open the door, to reveal a dark figure with his back turned to me.
"Hello?" I called out.
No answer, I walked towards him and called out again.
"Hello?"
I was about to reach for him when he answered in a low, gruff voice.
"Get out." I froze.
"Get out!!" He said louder. I still couldn't move, my feet were glued to the floor. He then turned to me and grabbed my shoulders.
"You have to get out of here!" His purple eyes shined in the moonlight. "You have to- Gah!"
He gasped and clutched his head. His knees collapsed from under him. The boy began to scream. All I could do was stare in horror at the sight before me.
The smell of burning flesh filled my nostrils. I put a hand to my face. His screams became louder and more pain filled. Tears filled my eyes. He was starting to become something else, something not human. I collapsed and threw up my contents. The screaming stopped, and there was a growling overhead. I looked up, I was now face to face with a werewolf. It looked me dead in the eyes. My frightened eyes were reflected in his deep purple ones. He then opened up his jaws showing off rows of sharp teeth and went at me.
"AH!" I screamed and quickly sat up, pinching and poking my features. I was all there, I looked about to see that I was also back in my room. I cradled my sweat drenched head. "What is happening to me?"
This was the fourth time I've had the dream this month. And every time it's the same; a forest, something chasing me, and a boy with purple eyes. I haven't the slightest clue of what it means, but I'm beginning to worry. Aunt Jo, the woman who took me in, says that frequent dreams are some kind of message from the great beyond, that it has something to do with destiny. Whatever that means. I'm still not so sure.
What really troubles me though, is Aunt Jo's health, she's been coughing a lot more than usual. I wish I could help in some way, but she's always so stubborn. She act's like there is nothing the matter with her. I've taken to continuing my studies on my own. Luckily Edgar is there for me. Edgar is an excellent tutor, he's over one thousand years old, and he also happens to be my cat. I have no idea as to how he can talk and why he is so intelligent, that's just him I guess.

Wiping the sweat from my brow, I jump up and throw on a green jumper and jeans.
I swing my bedroom door open and run through the hallway. I then reached the creaky old stairs. Thinking fast I jumped upon the railing and slid down, holding in a laughing as I did so. When I had reached the bottom I quickly made my way to the back door in the kitchen. I was just about out the door when I was stopped by a voice.
"And just where do you think you're going?"
I turned to see none other than the old sour puss himself, Edgar. His black tail cutting through the hair rapidly.
"Just going out for a little walk Edgar. I'll be back shortly." I said reaching for the door handle, but I was stopped again.
"Josephine is expecting visitors today." He said grumpily.
"Oh, I won't be long. Just a quick little walk that's all." I said avoiding eye contact.
"Erin." He said getting annoyed.
"Oh come on Edgar, don't be such a geezer. I'm dying by being shut up in here. I need fresh air!" I said with a dramatic twirl.
"Ooh, Fine! But be back soon. I won't tolerate tardiness." He said shaking his head wearily.
I squealed with delight and gave him kiss on his head as I walked out of the door.
"Don't be late!" He called after me.
A smile escaped the corner of my mouth, within a few seconds I disappeared to the field behind our house. The tall grass twirled and danced and an organized fashion. I couldn't help but to stare. It was then, by staring that I spotted a mess of orange. Smiling to myself, I took this opportunity to pounce, earning myself a surprised cry.
"Ack! Erin!!"
I giggled at the boy who lay under me."Good morning, Teddy!"
He grumbled something unintelligible beneath me and then replied.
"Good morning. Can you please get off of me?"
I replied with a simply.
"Hmmmm..... Nope!"
"Ugh! Erin!!"
I giggled again and rolled off of him. Laying beside him in the thick grass.
"I had that dream again."
"What? Again?"
"Mm hmm, and it was even louder and scarier than the last time."
