Dakota POV I started this morning like I start every morning, waking up at 7 am, yay! I got up and then went to take a shower. Once I was done with that I got dressed in my uniform for my Catholic School. Then I brushed through my hair and put my plaid maroon headband in and going over to but my black flats on. Outfit

I grabbed my backpack and went downstairs for breakfast. After putting my backpack by the door I went and grabbed the oatmeal my mom made and sat by the island. "Are you ready for school pumpkin?" My dad asked. "Yeah. When is Mads coming home?" I whined. "Soon! You know she's busy but you can FaceTime her tonight okay?" My mom said. "Okay." I sighed. Once I was done I gave my mom and dad a hug and kiss goodbye then headed to the bus. Once I got to the bus stop I saw my two best friends Arlo and Mia and ran to them giving them a hug. "Hey guys!" I yelled. "Hey Kota!"they both said. "Are you guys ready for that science presentation today?" Arlo asked nervously. "Yes Arlo we have worked so hard on our project and practicing our presentation it will be perfect trust me!" I said. "Yeah your right Kota! We got this!" She said regaining his confidence. With that the bus got there and we went to our seats. When we got to school we went to our class which luckily we all had the same 5th grade teacher, Mrs.Gale. English is our first subject. "Okay class today we are starting a new project. We are going to do a short impromptu speech about our personal hero. Since you've never done this right now we will go through the class and say our hero and then at the end of the day we will do our speeches. Dakota do you want to start." She said. "Sure Mrs.Gale! This is an easy question for me because my hero has impacted my life so much my hero is my older sister Madelaine and I can't wait to tell you guys about why she's so awesome!" I said. "Amazing Dakota! Grace you're up next." She said. The rest of the school day carried on as normal until we had our science presentation. Arlo, Mia and I went up to the front with our model volcano. The presentation was going perfect all that was left was to have the volcano erupt. We had the class count down "5,4,3,2,1 BOOM" not only did the volcano erupt but shot "lava" all over the class room. Everyone busted out laughing except for us. We looked over to the teacher scared for her reaction but she shocked us when she started clapping saying "BRAVO what an accurate representation of a volcano A+" She said. Arlo Mia and I all high fives and asked if we could go clean up. "Of course" and so we went to the bathroom once we were all clean we started walking back and took the way that walked past the front office. When we turned the corner we all stopped and hid behind the corner. I saw a flash of red hair and made everyone stop so we could ease drop before we go. I hope so badly that it is Mads. "Hi can you tell me what room Dakota Petsch is in I'm her sister and I'm here to surprise her!" I heard the voice say. Knowing it was Mads I ran around the corner yelling "Maddie!!" I jumped into her arms both of us shocked at first but her hugging back after she realized that was me. "Kota! I missed you so much!" She said. "I missed you too!" I said kinda crying. "Oh don't cry my precious girl!" She said with worry. "Don't worry their happy tears I'm just so excited you're here!" I said hugging her again. "Okay Kota! Hi Arlo! Hi Mia!" Mads said leaning down to give them side hugs. "Hi Maddie!" They both said. "Maddie can you take me out of school and can we have a Kota and Maddie day please?!" I begged. "Of course!" She said excitedly "I have another surprise for you at home!" She said. "Really! Let me go get my backpack!" I said jumping out of her arms. "Hurry up!" She said while laughing. "I will!" I said already sprinting down the hallway. I ran into my classroom screaming "Mrs.Gale! Mrs.Gale! You're never going to believe it! My sister came here to surprise me and to take me home!" I yelled. "Really! That's so awesome! Make sure you grab your stuff have a nice weekend!" She said. "You too!" I said sprinting out of the classroom so me and Maddie can leave. I ran up to Mads waiting in the lobby "Okay Maddie let's roll out!" I said swinging my arm around in a circle making her laugh while we walked out of the school. Hope you enjoyed the first chapter!
