✰Milena✰
I turn around and take in the scenery around me, almost feeling as if I am in a dream.
I can't remember if the figure appeared of if it was there but my eyes never adjusted, but all of a sudden I am aware of it and it's need of my attention.
"Milena, you have been brought to the place meant to be your home, here you will experience love, heartbreak and you will save the people who you never knew relied on you. In order to do this you must stay strong, but know that grace is on your side and we believe in you."
The face of the figure was indecipherable, therefore I could not figure out if it's lips were moving or if the voice was all in my head.
I reach out to run my hands through the cloud like embodiment and as soon as I was sure I touched it, my mind went black.
I jolted awake, sweating and panting, looking around I racked my brain to figure out where the hell I was and how I got here.
As I closed my eyes, memories of walking through the woods back to my childhood home came to me and I can only remember up to a certain point before I completely black out.
As far as the situation of not knowing my current whereabouts, I slowly creep out of the bed. The coldness of the room is noticed as the hairs on my legs stand and my nipples are visible though the thin fabric of the gown I was in.
Running a hair through my long black hair I notice a mirror in the corner of the room. Walking in front of it I notice and pick apart the things of myself, food and bad.
My hair travelled down my back and ended above my waist. The shortness I had inherited from my mother was always an insecurity of mine, being twenty two and shorter than all my friends, classmates, and family.
The tiny frame that encased all of my organs was something I didn't deserve, eating everything in sight and running only when it was towards, well, food.
I signed and creeped over toward the door, trying my best to limit the amount of noise I made, I held the door right and turned the handle.
The hallway was long and had lights the illuminated four more doors before it opened into a balcony, overlooking the living room of the house.
Walking down the stairs, no one was present in the living room, and upon further inspection, I was only on the 15th floor. After reaching the elevator I entered and pressed ground floor, expecting it to carry me to where all of the people reside.
The ground floor was surprisingly cold and dark, with only three doors down a single hallway I had a Erie feeling as I slowly walked towards the last door.
Lightly knocking and hearing no answer,
I opened the door to find a huge room with a single king bed along with a few chests and dressers. I glanced around at the pictures that decorated the tops of dressers and the walls. My fingers danced across the frame of the pictures, the faces trapped inside looked so joyful and my heart yearned for a feeling of that to reside in my sorrowful life.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" A low voice growled in the entryway. I turned and was face to face with a man with piercing green eyes that towered over me. As soon as our eyes connected his widened.
"puta merda" he muttered, but before I could even begin to be confused his eyes shifted back to their cold state and he turned to leave.
"Noah will be here shortly to escort you to your room, you are to stay there unless you are brought out, do you understand?" He spoke with his back to me.
"Yes" I muttered with my head hung low. I was confused as to what I had done, and what he had said to me, but I had no choice to ask as he wasted no time in slamming the door to remind the room of the lack of his presence.
I stood with my head down and not even seconds later a man with blonde hair and brown eyes, who I am assuming is Noah, returned with a robe and questioning eyes.
"I'm Noah, Alpha Zè asked me to escort you back to your room and he told me to give this to you." Noah said as he handed me the robe. My eyes shot up at the mention of Alpha, I had so many questions.
"If you don't mind me asking, where am I?" He looked at me like I was crazy.
"You're in the Power pack house, you were found unconscious in the woods and was brought to the pack hospital before Alpha Zè requested you to be moved here." He explained shortly, I was still curious as to why he reacted the way he did and why I was unconscious in the first place.
Noah turned and I followed him as we entered the elevator and returned to the floor I had just escaped.
When we got back to my room he asked if I needed anything before turning and leaving. The door opened back and a doctor entered, smiling before walking over to me.
"Hello miss, I see that you are awake l, how are you feeling?" I analyze his face and notice signs of deep age, although he seems to only be in his forties.
"I'm okay, a slight headache and a little confused but I'm okay." I lightly smiled up at him.
"That's understandable, do you remember you name, age and where you were going when you fell unconscious?" He turned his head sideways, kind of, well, like a curious dog would do.
"My name is Milena Wilmington, I'm 22 and I am originally from the power pack, my father, James Wilmington was former Beta of this pack and when he passed during the precious war, my mother moved us to the nearest city. I was on my way back here, to continue my life the way I knew my father would want. Also, you said I fell unconscious, yet I can't help but feel I was hit in the head. Do you happen to know who did it?" I questioned? He looked surprised.
"Well, Miss Milena, I did not expect to be treating such former pack royalty, the former alpha will be pleased to hear of your return. As far as your incident, I am not sure who hurt you. I will ask Noah, the current Beta, to look more into your situation." He smiled politely. Ah, so Noah was the current Beta, he looked and seemed nice so I was happy someone one somewhat like my father had inherited the job.
With that, he left and I was alone with my thoughts. As much as I wanted to obey what I was told, especially since I figured out that the alpha was the man who gave these orders. He seems hostile for someone with such beautiful photo memories adorning his room.
My mind reels as I try to piece together this seemingly one million piece puzzle, and my mind fuzzes over when I go back to the image of Alpha Zè standing in the door frame. He gave me a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I couldn't figure out if I liked or despised. With that, I drifted back off to sleep, hoping that good dreams would come and these problems that seemed to cluster my life would fix themselves.
