Chapter 14: Calabasas

I wake up at 9am and look at the bed beside me but notice an empty bed. When I got up, Cameron was no where to be found. I got up and looked at my phone.

From Cameron: 

"Hey, I had to go for a meeting at 10. Call you later?" 

I sighed and rolled over and was going to go to sleep again when I get a call from Ben. 

"Hello?"

"Hey!" I replied 

"What are you plans today?" He asked

"Nothing much, you?"

"Nope, have you checked on your house?" He asked. My house in Calabasas is under renovation and should be done by next week. 

"No, wanna take me?" I asked 

"Yeah why not!" He said "I'll pick you up in an hour?" He asked 

"Okay sure" I said 

An hour later, I get a text from Ben saying that he was already at the lobby of the hotel. He drove me to Calabasas which is around a 45 minute drive and we were just talking about life when he suddenly pulled up in a neighborhood and gave his ID to enter. 

"Where are we going?" I asked 

"Wait and see" He said until I recognized... "this is where Raffy lives, why are we here?" 

I asked but he kept silent and pulled over, only to see Raffy outside, washing his car. Ben went down and shook hands with Raffy and he saw me in the car. I got out and he asked

"Can we talk?" and I nodded my head and he took me to their garden as we sat by a bench 

"Kat, I love you but I love you enough to know that you don't feel the same way." He said and tears were forming in my eyes 

"I know you were with Cameron last night, the entire night-"

"Nothing happened!" I said 

"and I believe you, i believe you would never, ever do that to me. But what I do know is that you love me but not in the way that I'm expecting you to. I know you love me but only as a friend, a best friend, a big brother." 

"Raffy..." I said as he interrupts me

"Which is why I'm letting you go" which made me cry so much I could barely breathe and so he stopped and hugged me 

"Don't leave me. I love you, believe me, I do" I said, crying as Ben dragged me away in his car 

"Take me to my hotel... now" I said as I was crying the entire car ride. What a day right?

I got back to the hotel and packed my things and took a lyft to my house in Calabasas. I paid the driver and informed my parents, manager and assistant that I was no longer residing in the hotel they placed me in. I cried and cried and my phone started ringing and ringing and I didn't answer. I cried myself to sleep and the next day I wake up to a call from Cameron Dallas. Thinking it was an alarm I just press anything on my phone screen but then I heard his voice on speaker 

"Kat! I've been trying to contact you! I went to your hotel but they said you checked out??" 

"Sorry" I said 

"Where are you?" 

"My house, in Calabasas" 

"Isn't it being furnished? Why are you there?" He asked like he was so eager and I didn't understand why

"It's kinda done anyway" 

"Okay but text me your street and house number, I'll go to you, anyways we live in the same neighborhood right?" 

"You don't have to" 

"I want to" he says as I put him on speaker and text him my address 

"Sent, but just to warn you I look like shit, I'm not in the best place right now" 

An hour later and Cameron still isn't here. 2 hours later and I hear my door bell ring so I grabbed the remote and opened my gate so Cam could park. I went down and saw him at the entrance, exiting his car would a lot of McDonald's, Chipotle, Taco Bell, In and Out and ICE CREAM!!

"What's all this for??" I asked 

"To cheer you up! I asked your fans on twitter and they said you loved these, especially Ice cr-" I didn't allow him to finish his sentence and I ran straight and hugged him and started crying. 

"Hey, why are you crying?" 

"Idk, I literally just met you and you're so nice to me" 

"Hey, we are friends right?" He said. Shit, friend zoned. Damn
