A spiders trip through time (an unlucky little spider sequel)

New approach

After loosing Octavius peter went back to the roof and asked Vendeli to come with him to SHIELD for questioning. Vendeli complied very easily. Peter then took him to one of the bases on the ground after blindfolding him. There he was answering every question they asked the best he could. Peter was in a separate room with fury.

"So the others know about Ocks project Aion." Peter Said.

"Do they know what it is?" Fury asked.

"No. Vendeli and Ock didn't say that it was a time machine." Peter said.

"Good. Keep it that way. We don't want your team to start panicking and start making mistakes." Fury Said.

"No. We don't want that." Peter Said. He then began to think. "Sir. I have a question. Why don't we just ask one of the apprentices for their key. If we even get one key Ock can't get to project Aion." Peter Said. Fury looked down in thought, then slowly nodded his head.

"Fine. Ask one of them for there key and put an end to Octavius' plans." Fury said. Peter nodded then left the building. He went through the list of the apprentices and decided to meet with Hoffton. Peter found him in his apartment pacing back and forth. Peter knocked on the window scaring him. Gerold then walked to the window and let him in.

"Spiderman. To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure?" Gerold asked clearly on edge.

"I think you know exactly why." Peter Said.

"Dr. Octavius." He Said. Peter nodded. He then began to pace back and forth. "I know he attacked Vendeli and Ducain already. You helped them. I heard that they're safe. Are they?" He asked. Peter nodded and gerold sighed in relief.

"I understand your scarred right now. But that's exactly why I'm here. I'm here to protect you." Peter Said.

"I'm not scarred. At least not for myself. I'm fine with dying. I may be a scientist but that doesn't mean I can't be religious." He said. He shook his head. "No. I'm scarred for my wife and daughter. Octavius knows them and I'm afraid he'll use them against me." He Said.

"Where are they?" Peter Asked. Gerold looked at peter.

"My wife is at work, and my daughter is at school." Gerold said. Peter activated Karen.

"Karen. Send a squad to pick up mrs. Hoffton at her place of work and another to pick up mr. Hoffton's daughter from school. Make sure they get back to a shield base for their own protection." Peter said. Peter looked at Gerold to see him smiling. "Now. I have a request mr. Hoffton." Peter Said.

"Anything." He Said.

"I'm gonna need your key for project Aion." Peter Said. Hoffton moved back.

"Aion?" He said sounding a little scared.

"Yes. He is after project Aion. The time machine, yes?" Peter Asked hoffton nodded.

"Why? It's no where near finished. It doesn't work." Hoffton said confused.

"We believe that he thinks he can make it work. We are trying to stop him which is why I need your key." Peter said. Hoffton nodded.

"So your trying to stop Ock. Very well. I'll get my key." He Said. He then left and came back a little later with a key similar to the one Vendeli tried to hand him. Peter took it and looked back at hoffton.

"Thank you. Because of you Ock can't get to project Aion." Peter Said. He held out his hand and hoffton shook it.

"Your Welcome Spider-Man." He Said with a smile. Peter then walked to the window.
