OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS , Ra and I had been hanging out like everyday. I had been looking for a cheap place to live with the money I had saved up. Most of the money came from back when Jay and I were still a thing. As much as I hated him right now and his drug money . I needed the money. Ra had been telling me about his dreams and Shao introducing them to music.
It was nice to hear him so excited about something. We sit on his bed as he plays with the two braids that Yolanda gave me this morning.
" Ow Ra!" I sway his hand away ducking my head ,these braids were tight as shit.
" My bad." He says snatching his hand away.
I flip through the comics Ra has on his bed and I feel him staring at me.
" Boy why are you looking at me like that."
" Sorry you're just so beautiful- I mean like not beautiful but- well not trying to say you're ugly you're far from it - i just." I cut Ra off by leaning over and giving Ra a kiss on the cheek. Ra looks at me with wide eyes and I burst out laughing at how innocent he is.
" Thankyou Ra." He has the goofiest smile on his face.
" Hey I'll be back later I got some stuff to do."
" Like what T?" Ra asks he always was nosey as hell.
" Just to go look at some places to live." I shrug grabbing my stuff and say rushing out the door before he could ask anymore questions.
I felt bad lying to Ra but if knew the truth of where I was really going he would be pissed. I had to go to Jays to get some closure and I felt bad about how we left things. I talked to the girls about it this morning and Yolanda thought it was a terrible idea meanwhile Regina was going on about how sexy he was and something about shaking my 'culo.'
I bang on Jays door about three times before a girl wearing his shirt answered the door. I knew it was his shirt because I used to wear the same one. I recognized her as some bitch named Kim we went to school with. The same Kim he told me not to worry about.
" Can I help you ?" Kim says smirking knowing our history.
" Baby who's there? " Jay says coming to the door eyes wide once he realizes it's me.
" Nobody I was just leaving" I knew coming here wasn't going to end well but I came anyways. I tried to replenish any type of hope that I had for us moving on as friends.
