L Y L A H
I was able to hear voices. I had no clue how long I had been unconscious, or if I was even alive, but right now, I was able to hear voices.
"Please w-wake up.", I heard Shawn speak, the drama king he was! He never missed a chance to cry. I wasn't dead, that was sure. Unless I had died, and my soul was hearing Shawn cry over my death.
No.
I tried to open my eyes slowly, which had become accustomed to darkness, due to them being closed for a long time. The light pierced through my eyes and I closed them again, tightly.
I realised that Shawn was holding my hand and I had held onto it, tighter. I heard him gasp.
"Doctor! Doctor!", he started making chaos, "Mr Ridney!!"
Maybe, that was the doctors surname. The doctor still hadn't arrived yet, making Shawn impatient. Impatience was radiating through him right now.
"Robert!", he screamed.
"I'm the doctor, Shawn.", I could hear the disappointment in the doctor's voice. "Give me some respect."
"You should come in one call. You know she's not ok!", Shawn argued, his hand still holding mine.
The doctor was doing something with my veins, it felt funny. Maybe, that was an injection. Wow.
"Oh no, no!", Shawn spoke with a voice which showed his dread. "Have mercy, how can you stab her like that?" I mentally rolled my eyes at that.
"I'm not stabbing her. I'm injecting her with a micrometer radius syringe!", the doctor seemed cross now.
"Just.. just do it carefully.", Shawn spoke with faltering confidence. There was some noise of the door opening again. I heard footsteps entering inside, along with clicking of heels.
It was funny, how when we were seeing things, we never observed the sound. And now when I had my eyes closed, I could distinguish different noises.
"Is she ok?", a male voice asked, concern lacing in their speech. Who was this person?
"Yeah. Yeah she is.", Shawn spoke up.
"She can wake up anytime now.", I heard the doctor's voice again. There was a sound of the door closing, maybe, the doctor had left.
"Xandra.. Open your eyes, please.", a beautiful female voice spoke up, as I felt a palm on my forehead, moving it there with love. Xandra?
I tried to open my eyes again, this time with care. I blinked a million times before finally opening them and looking into gorgeous, golden eyes.
"Oh my God, Xavier!", the woman called out, tears falling from her eyes. "She's awake."
A man came up towards us, running. He seemed familiar.
"Our baby is awake.", the woman hugged the man. Baby? What the heck?
Shawn rubbed my wrist and palm and I looked at him. He was the only one who I knew.
"Are you ok?", he enquired, frown forming in his forehead.
"Ye-yeah.", I spoke with difficulty, "you don't look good with that frown."
Shawn smiled a big smile, as tears fell from his eyes. I never knew someone would cry for me. And here he sat, holding my hand, crying for me.
"I thought I lost you.", he whispered lowly, and hugged me, quite uncomfortably, seeing that I was actually sleeping.
"You've not lost me, Shawn. Stop crying.", I tried to wipe his tears with my free hand.
"Well,", he wiped his tears, "you need to know something."
He looked at the man and woman, who were looking at me with hopes. Who were they?
"Lylah, they are.. Well, they are.", Shawn said, with illogical sense.
"Shawn?", I raised my eyebrows.
"Let me introduce.", the man spoke up and I looked at him. "We are your parents, Xandra."
