6 years later..

I look at Shawn, as he sits on his seat, busy attending a call, for the suicide helpline. He still works here, part time though. He says it is because of this helpline that we met, and he doesn't want this part of his life to go away. He does not know I'm here, looking at him through the glass window.
I've planned everything. I met his boss, Ms. Thirwall and even she seemed excited to see me workout my plan. She said it was something she had never experienced in her thirty years of life that she has lived.
I take out my phone and call the suicide helpline, and Ms. Thirwall gives me a thumbs up from her seat as the call gets connected.
"Hello. This is the suicide helpline. How may I help you?", Shawn's voice echoes from my speakers.
My heartbeat starts quickening and I try to control it by putting a palm on my chest.
"Hello?", he questions, his voice sounding confused.
"Shawn Cooper, you have been the best phone call I've ever had. I'm so glad that it was you who picked up the call, that night, when I called the suicide helpline for the first time. We've been together for more than six years now, and trust me, I am not planning to leave you ever. I want to be with you as long as I live. I want to see that beautiful smile on your face everyday and punch you when that devilish smirk comes. I want to grow old with you, have beautiful babies and every other thing that couples in this world do. Heck, I even want to do stuff which couples haven't done yet. Will you do the honour of marrying me? Trust me, it will benefit you.", I let out a breath and open my eyes. I never realised that I was holding my breath and that my eyes were closed.
Now that my eyes were open, my face fell to see Shawn's seat empty.
"Searching for me?", his voice came from behind me and I smile, turning around.
Before I'm able to comprehend anything, he kisses me with passion and holds me tight.
When we both go out of breath, he leaves me and looks at me with a huge grin.
"I love you.", we both say in a rush, at the same time. A blush fights to emerge on our cheeks, and we both laugh.
Even today, we act like teenagers in love. Shawn has been the best in the six years that we have been together. And, I can never imagine to live with someone else, when I can have him instead.
"I'm so glad you did this. I wanted to do this proposal thing since a long time, but, I was too afraid you might reject me.", Shawn said with a smile. What an idiot.
"I would never reject you. For anything."
I would never. I loved Shawn Cooper.
