If there's one thing the Cullen family actually bonded over, it was baseball. When there's a thunderstorm is always the perfect time to play.

With the storm above everyone, Jasper could feel the emotions of excitement and joy coming off of his family. He looked at Evelyn to see her already looking at him.

When he looked directly into her eyes he let her have her way in his mind. She brought forward so many great memories they have of each other. Jasper let a smile creep onto his face, sped to his mate, and gave her kiss. "Prepare to lose darlin'."

Evelyn smirked at his words, "Don't forget, I have the ability to make you completely forget how to run."

Jasper laughed, "No that's just cheating."

"Fair game in my book." Evelyn was gonna start talking again when she heard a car come towards them. "Human's here."

She slightly pulled away from Jasper and looked to see Edward and Bella get out of the car.

Esme walked up to them taking Bella from Edward saying, "Glad you're here, we need an umpire."

Then Emmett, with a big crooked smile, butted in, "She thinks we cheat."

"I know you cheat," with a smile like always, Esme end her talk with, "Call 'em as you see 'em Bella."

Bella chuckled at Esme's statement, "Okay."

A loud rumble came from the sky and through the forest, it was then Alice knew, "It's time."

With that said, everyone took their spots on the field. On one team was Alice, Edward, Emmett, and Evelyn. The other team was Carlisle, Esme, Jasper, and Rosalie. Bella just remained the umpire, for obvious reasons.

Rosalie was first to bat, Evelyn watched from her side of the field as Alice pitched the ball as fast as she could. Rosalie hits the ball with the aluminium bat, it makes a loud crack that sounds like thunder. The ball goes flying pass Edward and he starts running after it.

Evelyn then over hears Esme and Bella talking. "Okay now I see why you need the thunder. Thats gotta be a home run right?"

Esme shakes her head with a smile, "Edward's very fast."

Then within seconds the balls comes speeding out of the trees towards Esme. She touches it to the base just as Rosalie slides towards her. Bella barely sees all of this and says to the blonde vampire, "You're out."

From the middle the field is Emmett yelling with adrenaline, "Out! Woo!" He then sees his wifes irritated face, "Babe, come on, it's just a game."

Next to bat was Carlisle. He hit the ball upwards between Edward and Emmet. Them both seeing this, they simultaneously jumped in the air to catch the ball. This resulted in them colliding into each other and missing the ball. Carlisle is safe.

Next to bat was Jasper. He did some little tricks with the bat then got prepared to swing. The ball flew towards a tree near Evelyn.

She saw this and quickly climbing the old tree, then grabbing the ball before it could get and further. Before her feet hit the ground, she chucked the ball towards Esme getting Jasper out.

When she landed on the ground she made eye contact with her mate, and gave him a smirk, "Sorry babe."

Jasper just laughed and went behind Esme letting Rosalie up to bat again. She hit the ball, but before anyone could run after it, Alice yelled, "Stop!" Then everyone heard footsteps coming from the forest, nomads. The Cullen's quickly gathered together, "They were leaving, but then they heard us."

Edward only had one thing on his mind by then, get the human out of here. He grabbed Bella's arm, "Let's go."

They didn't get far till Carlisle said, "It's too late."

Edwards face became mixed with worry and anger. "Get your hair down."

Bella frantically took her hair out of her low ponytail and brought it to the front of her face. Rosalie, not being the humans biggest fan said with a snarky attitude, "Like that'll help, I can smell her from across the field."

Well all of that was happening, Evelyn went to Jasper's side and took a hold of his hand. She wasn't scared or worried, she is more irritated than anything because these nomads are interrupting their game.

Everyone was facing the forest, when three unknown faces walked through the trees onto the field. They sped to a few feet away from the Cullens, with one of them holding their ball. He raised his hand with the ball and said with a accent, "I believe this belongs to you."

He then effortlessly fast balled it to Carlisle who caught it with ease. Carlisle nodded his head in appreciatence, "Thank you."

The same man spoke up with introductions, "I am Laurent, and this is Victoria, and James." The two vampires on either side of him stared at the Cullen's intently.

"I'm Carlisle, and this is my family." Carlisle skimmed through all his family members then said, "I'm afraid your hunting activities, have caused something of a mess for us."

Jasper's eyes squinted, not exactly being able to dicipher the nomads emotions. Evelyn stood by his side, eyeing each of the red-eyed vampires.

Laurent's eyes widened with what looked like fake surprised. "Our apologizes, we didn't realise the territory has been claimed."

"Yes, well, we maintain a perminant residence near by." Carlisles ability to remain calm was outstanding.

"Really," Laurent glanced at James, who was strongly staring at Edward. The mindreaders face was full of disgust by knowing what the other vampire was thinking. "Well, we won't be a problem anymore, we were just passing through." Laurent's voice was in a away bothering to Evelyn, he sounded like he wanted to be trusted just to break it later.

The woman Victoria spoke up this time, "The Human's were tracking us, but we lead them east. You should be safe." Evelyn smirked, thinking it was funny that Victoria thought they were helping them.

Carlisle, being the polite vampire he is, replied, "Excellent."

Laurent smiled at everyone and casually asked, "So, could you use three more players?"Everyone looked at Carisle, waiting for his answer. Laurent spoke up, obviously seeing that the family didn't trust them, "Oh come on, just one game."

Carlisle gave up, "Sure, why not? A few of us were leaving, you can take their place. We'll bat first."

He threw the ball towards Laurent, but Victoria's hand came in front of him and caught it, "I'm the one with the wicked curve ball."

The competition rose in everyone, Jasper smirked and said, "Oh well I think we can handle that."

Evelyn smiled and slowly started to walk away until she heard the vampire James sniff loudly and say, "You brought a snack."

Within seconds all of the Cullen vampires stood defensively in front of Bella. Esme and Evelyn stood closer to the human in case one of the others tried anything.

Carlisle still remaining calm, tried to reason with them. "The girl is with us. I think it best if you leave."

Laurent looked to understand and talked to his friends, "I can see the game is over, we'll go now." He put his arms out as if to show he meant no harm. "James."
