Chapter 1

~~New neighbors~~

Lola's   p.o.v.

I woke up with sweat drenching my cloths I had just awoken from a terrible nightmare. It was 4 a.m. since I had to go ahead and eat the last burritos last night I woke earlier.

So much for finally getting enough sleep and because I inherited my dads similar habits I won't be able to fall asleep again.

I ran a hand through my hair while waiting so my vision could fix its self. I turned my lamp on. Swinging my legs beside my bed I put my bunny slippers on.

It was still dark outside but I could just get a glimpse of Mrs. Logan leaving her house for work well it was 4:12 a.m. so she was early today, because her work started at 5:00 a.m. Is it weird I know almost every neighboors scheduale for work?

I walked heavily out of my room and into the bathroom. Unlike those lucky people who have their own bathrooms in their room, I'm stuck sharing a bathroom with 4 other people. My mom my dad and my twin brothers that are younger than me. My dads the only real exeption of men. That's why I dont murder boys because their might be more men like him. Highly unlikely though.

I took a shower and changed into jeans and a red tanktop and a jean vest ontop of it with sleeves 4 fingers across. I towle dryed my hair and sat down in the living room it was now 5:03 and school opens at 7:00 so I had a long time before I could text Bethany to pick me up.

I turned on the tv and during squadwards moments of torture- advertised by spongebob- a loud crash and barking came from our back yard. So even though my guts said not to go, like it always happens in horror movies, I went to seek the source of the sound.

I walked out and shreaked at the sight in front of me. It was this huge snake trying to catch my little dog Daisy.

Than a guy jumped from my fence and tackled the monster and than another guy jumped my fence with a cage and they worked together to put the beast in the cage. Than the guy that tackled the snake turned around and gave me a sheepish smile.

" Srry about that, Blake's...pet...escaped" he said looking directly into my eyes. “ My name is Alex" he smiled genuinely and took out his right hand from his pockets. As I shook it my dog Daisy came running toward us and started sniffing Alex.

" Just don't let it happen again." I replied sourly. Than Daisy started licking Alex in the face because he was crouched down petting her.I'm pretty sure I was shooting lazers out of my eyes.

" Your our neighbor then, hmm I'm guessing you don't like us." he said smirking.

And people wonder why I find boys annoying.

" No I don't I don't exactly appreciate annoying boys "

I replied with a smug look on my face.

" Oh so your the beast, Mandy had been warning me about. Shocking how you look exactly how I thought you would look. And the same attitude." he replied not bothered by the fact I had just called him annoying.

Of course Mandy always goes after so called "cute" or " hot " boys so this isn't shocking how she bad mouthed me.

" Good to know.... Now- get out of my back yard" I streched 'now' a bit longer than necessary.

" Well someones grumpy" he muttered.

By than Blake had already walked over to us.

" So sorry about that and I'm also srry that you had to talk to dumber over here" he said pointing toward Alex. I let a small laugh escape from my lips, and after, a small smile appeared onto my face, I kinda liked Blake not in a crush kinda way but a friendly type of way.

" Hmm seems you have changed your attitude when Blake came. You have a serious problem with hot men like me....psh giving me that attitude" I just glared at him as he said he's smug reply.

" Hurtful" Blake responded with a fake hurt look on his face and his hand on his heart.

"Okay whatever. Just leave I have to get ready to go to school..... Welcome to the neighborhood by the way" the welcome part was whispered by me of course.

They were our new neighbors, the bad part was that their were more boys/men whatever u wanna call it than girls. The girl that I saw was around my age. It was the dad, Alex,Blake,the girl, and their was a little kid but I didn't know if it was

a boy or a girl. The reason why I know they have a kid was because I've heard screaming the last 2 nights.

I pushed the two boys toward the fence while Daisy groweled at the beast that was inside the cage already.They climbed over the fence quickly as if they had done it a tune of times. For all I know they could have been robers and had experience jumping fences.

After I went inside I made myself a bagel with cream cheese and a fried egg inside the bagel. I checked the time and it was already 6:13 so I grabbed my bag and put my books inside and texted Bethany that I was ready.

Whenever she picked me up we would usually go to the dunken doughnuts store that was two blocks away from school and hang their until it was 7:30.

While I waited for her to pick me up I watched Spongebob.

I heard a honk outside so I ran/walked out of the house toward Bethanys red mustang convertable 2013.

I love her car it was hot in my opinion, in that hot car kinda way, you know what I mean.

" Whats up girrrl " she said jokingly. I sighed because she wants every detail of my life. So she will love the story of the new neighbors since my life is boring.

" The stupid new neighbors left their beast of a snake enter my back yard and they had to come and get it..... what where their names?.... oh yeah Alex and Blake." she just laughed for a second and than shook her head in disappointment.

" You should of at least texted me oh well I'm going to have to see them they sound like fun." I just stared at her in horror.... Snakes are not fun.... right? I'm not normal so I don't know if normal people see snakes as fun.

We drove towards Dunken Doughnuts. But when we entered instead of being quiet like it always is when we arrive it was filled with laughter. Uh oh... Alex, Blake, and the teenage girl.

Blake saw me first snd yelled " hey its our neighbor the one that doesn't like Alex". Alex glared at Blake while Blake motioned for us to seat with him. We walked toward the table and the girl gave me a genuine smile

" Hi my names Carla" she stretched her arm to shake my hand so I shook it.

" My name's Lola this is Bethany, well we have to go nice to meet ya" I smiled at .

" Okay bye "Alex said really fast and a bit cheery to see me go. Carla slapped his arm.

We left with our doughnuts and went to school.
