"Ms. Black, what do you think you're doing?" asked Poli, a grumpy look plastered on his face.

"I'm going to get Wilson." I paused, looking into his dead brown eyes. "Must you irk me every day?"

"Ms. Black, I'm getting sick of your atrocious attitude towards me. Should I take you back to Don?" Poli asked with a sly smirk. I shuddered at his name. Memories of when I first arrived filtered into my head.

"No. I think I'm doing quite well without that sadist." It was my turn to smirk. "You know that you are abetting a fugitive right? I could turn you in and you would be in lots of trouble. Look at the program you have going on."

Poli's face paled slightly. "You wouldn't do that. You've been threatening me with that for years and you've done nothing."

"Watch me." I said calmly and pushed him out of the way, walking down the corridor towards the recruits' breakroom.

"You will rue this Alexandria! I can promise you that!" he yelled down the hallway.

I smirked. His carelessness in the past couple of years was getting old. It's like he forgot who I was and what I had done. I looked at the drab gray walls and the concrete floor. I knew this building like the back of my hand, probably more than even Poli did, and now I was going to put that knowledge to use. He could only goad me so much before I snapped, and today was that day. I didn't have an iota of sympathy for what was about to happen. He was the one that brought this on himself.

"Wilson, you need to start honing your skills. I know that you don't like this particular activity, but if you don't practice, you are going to be a tyro at it forever."

"Sorry, Alex," he said in a whisper. "I just don't like it here. I know that I should and I know that I'll be killed if I don't pass - it wasn't said but it was pretty clear - but I just don't want to be here. I'm glad that I was given a chance and all that, but I want to go home!" By the time he finished, tears were silently streaming down his face.

I softened my tone. "I know that, but I'm not in charge of who goes home." I looked around to make sure that no one was around. "Meet me in my room at eleven o'clock. I might be able to help you."

He nodded and I gave him some "homework." It was just making sure that he came to the gym to workout. I knew that if I was going to pull off an escape, there was one other trainer that could help me...and that was Axle. I knew that Axle was going to be in the one place that he always was if he had a recruit. I walked into the training room and found Axle yelling at the child he was assigned. It was a waif of a kid, scraggly hair, and dead blue eyes but a face that held

"Axle I need to speak to you," I glanced at the kid. "Privately."

He nodded. "You just saw me; what do you need?" he asked, slightly confused.

We walked over to the corner of the room. I talked to him zealously about what I wanted to do to get out of here. How Wilson wanted to as well and that I couldn't handle it anymore. I would rather be without a family and back to my old habits, running from the law and loving the adrenaline that coursed through my body when the FBI thought that they found me. I hated it here.

"I'll help you," Axle said, a smile plastered his face, but a weird look in his eyes. "I was wondering how long it was going to take you to figure out how to get out of here."

I smiled, dismissing the look in his eye. "I'll meet you at the gate at 10:30 tonight."

Axle smiled and nodded his head. "See you there."

I walked over to the gate, looking for Axle. It was 10:45 and I had to meet Wilson in 15 minutes. I turned my head and gasped slightly. The cold barrel of a gun was in front of me, Axle glaring at me. The look in his eye was back and I immediately knew that I had made a grave mistake.

"What are you doing?" I asked genuinely surprised.

"Did you really think that you could leave?" His voice was full of malice. "Did you think that you could get past Poli? He has eyes all over this place. You should have been better at spotting that."

"What -" He cut me off.

"I hate to mar the perfection of you, but it must be done."

I looked away, up to the window where Poli's office was. The light was on and I saw the silhouette of Poli standing there. Axle took that brief moment to finish the assignment that was given to him.
