~Alex~

537 people (yes, I counted), 19 cups of coffee, and one long night later I found myself going home. It honestly surprises me that the Starbucks can manage to stay open 24/7 sometimes.. It's a lot of work not having a time when it's closed to clean up properly. But I guess folks benefit from the 24 hour schedule so.. Who am I to fuss.

I hopped on the Subway to head back uptown to my apartment.

Well, technically it's my Dad's apartment, but he's rarely ever there so he lets me stay there, so long as I clean and cook when necessary. Which I don't mind. I'm an organization freak, so cleaning is easy, and my Dad ain't picky about meals so we usually just do simple things. I know he loves some of my Mom's recipes that she made when she was still alive. So I try to make those a lot when he's here. It keeps her close, y'know?

The subway was pretty empty, aside from three other girls, so I just took a random seat and plopped down. Turns out, in my tired state, I ended up sitting across from the three girls. They started talking to each other before the oldest one.. Or who I assume to be the oldest one.. Turned to me.

"Hey, you okay there bud?" She asked. She was wearing a simple pink t-shirt and pale blue skinny jeans, along with sneakers. Her curly hair was pulled up into a pony tail... All the girls had their hair in a ponytail actually.

The one on her left was wearing a blue bandanna, a light baby blue mid-sleeve shirt, and dark blue capris. She was wearing some kind of pretty but modest brown boots.

The other girl was wearing a yellow jacket, a light one I'd assume, a yellow baseball cap which she wore backwards, and some ripped denim jeans. Her shoes were just some simple sneakers from what I could see. She was also chewing some bubblegum.

damn i could use some bubblegum right now..

"Hey? Can you hear me?" Pink-shirt asked again. I shook my head to clear it.

"O-oh, sorry! Sorry.. Just got off a night shift and I'm pretty tired I guess.." I answered, smiling awkwardly.

The three of them giggled slightly, before Bandanna turned to me.

"You work at that 24 Hour Starbucks, right? I think I've seen you around before." I nodded.

"Yeah, that's where I just came from actually. I'm Alexander Hamilton by the way. But you can call me Alex."

"I'm Angelica. Angelica Schuyler." Pink shirt said.

"I'm Elizabeth Schuyler, but you can call me Eliza." Blue Bandanna.

"Yo, I'm Peggy. Peggy Schuyler." Bubblegum.

Oh s h i t I'm talking to the Schuyler sisters--

When I probably look like shit--

"N-nice to meet you." I stammered. I'm sure they could tell I was nervous, because Angelica spoke up.

"Chill dude, we're not gonna do anything freaky."

"I'm just.. Shocked I guess. I've heard of you three a lot, I just never expected to end up talking with you. It's an honor."

"Honestly!" Eliza started, laughing. "Every guy says that! Alex, we're just regular people, like you. There's no reason to treat us any differently!"

I chuckled nervously. "Well... I guess I just don't know how to act when I'm tired."

"Dude everyone's like that." Peggy laughed. "I don't think you have to worry any." She grabbed a piece of notebook paper and a pen and started scribbling something down.

"How long have you been in New York Alex?" Angelica asked.

"Since I was about.. 14 I think." I replied, watching Peggy from the corner of my eye.

Eliza glanced at the digital map on the ceiling, showing how close we were to the next stop. "Our stop is coming up soon but.. Maybe.. Would you like to hang out some time? Or at least exchange numbers?" She asked, looking back at me. I think my heart stopped for a moment before I nodded.

"U-um, sure! Why not?" I dug into my pockets and pulled out a random piece of paper and a pen of my own. I quickly wrote down my number, and just as I was about to hand it to one of them, Peggy reached over and handed me a piece of paper of her own. I decided it was best just to trade papers.

The subway stopped and the Schuylers got up.

"We'll keep in touch." Peggy smiled before turning to follow her sisters, who had already gotten off.

I just leaned back in my seat.

Oh shit, I just talked to the Schuyler sisters, and somehow managed to impress?? Them enough to exchange contact information.

How the fuck did I do that--
