The Wrong Things

I knew I should be falling in love with another mafia member. She was just so beautiful that it was hard not to fall for her. I laid in my bed thinking about her. I grabbed my phone and texted her. I said, "Come over I need to talk to you." I waited for a reply. Finally, I got a reply saying "On my way." I smiled and waited for her to show up. After waiting for an hour my bedroom door opened. She walked into my room and said: "Wow you have abs." I chuckled and said, "Yeah I tend to work out when I am stressed which is all the time." She nodded and smiled and walked toward my bed. She bent over and kissed me. She whispered "Being in the mafia is your first mistake. Your second mistake is you and I." I kissed her then said, "Nobody has to know about you and me." She smiled and got into the bed with me.

The  next morning I look beside me and see her. Our clothes on the floor and I kiss her forehead. Her eyes open and she smiles. She says "Wow Romel you are very talented." I chuckle and said "No that was just mostly you." We heard someone walking up the stairs. She hid under the sheets and I turn onto my side. Brock opens the door and says "Time to go son. Marie I know you are in here." Her head comes out from under the sheets. Marie waves at Brock and says nervously "Morning boss um how did you know that I was here?" He pointed at the camera in the hall. She sighed and said "Right. Are you okay with this?" He shrugged and looked at me. I nodded as Brock said "Yes as long as it doesn't damage our work." Marie and I sighed in relief. Brock shuts the door and walks down the stairs. Marie and I get dressed and kiss. We go downstairs as my family looks at us. Eric, being the smartass that he is, says "Well I think in time we are going to have a baby mafia member."

I flipped Eric off and smiled. Eric flipped me off as Brock says "Enough you two immature idiots." Brenda smacks Brock's arm. I pull out a chair for Marie as I sit down beside her. We were having pancakes and waffles for breakfast. I knew we had a big assignment since we were having breakfast as a family. I break the silence by saying "So what is today's assignment?" Brock looks at Marie, Eric and I as he says "Go through your files." I stand up and go to my room and pull out the file from my desk drawer. I walk out of my room and see Eric holding his file while looking at me. I look at Eric and say "I have to kill Keiara." Eric looks at me and says with complete sadness "I am so sorry for this Scott but..." I look at him with confusion and worry. He shows me what is in his file and i sigh. His assignment is to kill Rodney. My phone dings as Marie sent me a text. Marie said "I have to kill your friend Bryan." I got pissed and went downstairs and looked at Brock in the eyes. I said "You son of a bitch!" Brock rubs his lower lip and says "You guys discussed your files I see." I nodded and said as a tear ran down my cheek "You are killing my friends. I want to know why." 

Brock looks at me with an evil look in his eyes. I give him an angry look and say "You leave my friends alone or... or it will be your death people mourn." Eric looks at mom and claps. I look at Eric and say "Dude what the hell?" Brenda walks up to me and says "We wanted to test your guys loyalty." Marie looks at me and then at Brock. Marie says to everyone but me "You guys are twisted!" I nodded in agreement as I put my arm around her. I tell her "We are leaving now. Come on Marie." She follows me out to the car. Brock grabs his gun and follows us. We get in the car and as we were about to drive off I hear his gun fire. I look at Marie as she is crying. Her door is open and blood is running. Marie was shot in the side. I get out and shut her door and speed toward the hospital. 

When we reach the hospital I carry her in and yell "Help!" Two doctors run up to us with a bed. I lay her on there and tell her "I will be back I promise." She nods as her eyes close. I run out to the car and drive back home. I finally pull into the driveway and see Brock sitting on the porch. I call the cops and say "Yeah I got some information for you. I just found out that Brock did murder that person and he killed a random man at his house. He even shot my girlfriend because I refused to kill my friends." The woman who answered said "We will send officers to your location. Go to the hospital and stay with her. We will handle Brock okay." The officer knew me because we crossed paths before. I hung up and drove to the hospital. When I returned to the hospital I went to the front desk. The woman said "You Marie's boyfriend?" I nodded with tears. She looked at me and said "She is in surgery at the moment. If you waited a moment longer she would have died." I sighed and put my hands to my face. I looked at the woman and said "So she will live?" The woman nodded with a smile on her face as she said "Yes sir she will live."
